Just thought I'd share this video with you.

It documents what Canadian snipers do in Afghanistan.

Yes, Canadian snipers, not American snipers. Canada has some of the best snipers and sharpshooters in the world and manufactures some of the best sniper equipment and .50 rifles in the world.

So, next time some retard redneck comes up to you and says "Canada sucks", remind him kindly that Canadians are watching over our troops for days on end in Afghanistan.

Anybody who can take out a person at 1000 meters has my respect. Thats almost a mile!

1000 meters is not almost a mile. That is almost 2/3 of a mile. Great shot, but not almost a mile.

To bad they can't even physically meet their NATO promises they pledged themselves to maintain.... which is why us "retard rednecks" say Canada's military is weak (but never have I said it sucks personally). Though Canadian soldiers are almost as skilled as US Marine Snipers, they lack the finesse to put up a good link. I, an American, am getting a 5003' Timed Out from that, and Quicktime is Evil as sam-hell anyway! -Why do you think QT is on Windows anyway if it was made by Apple?.. Its to Slow down your PC and give you crap-quality video that trumps even with very high bandwidth due to having the Mac disease. QT Video is like a Blood Type "AB" -to- "O" transfusion, it just kills PC's.. Y'know

I've always liked the canadian military. It's like all the canadians I've met; really polite, kinda weak, but helpful and they'll try really really hard.

actually, it should be. I'm on my steroids right now for a really bad sinus infection, they make it much more pronounced. Hence why I keep going on buying sprees, then sit in a corner and cry while drinking orange juice (can't put alcohol in it, would react with the medications).

If I remember right, they've got three or four in service right now. As far as the MOA goes, I live about 10 miles from it and unfortunately, I have to go there for my DVD fix at Suncoast. Last I knew, they didn't have any submarines.

On topic, I've had the opportunity to work with a few of the DND/CF folks over in bella Napoli at the AFSOUTH (which I guess is now JFC Naples under the NATO ACO structure...more money wasted on changing the letterhead). Great guys and a prime group of canidates for AA. Worked hard, played hard. I respect that (plus their per diem monies which they dedicated to showing me a good time for showing them around).

Wow, I hope you weren't offended by my comment, that was not my intent, I quickly recognised it because I have battled it for years myself.

I can only tell you the one thing that helps me is knowing when I am in those 'Moods" and that it will pass eventually. I do try to take advantage of the manic portion occasionally to get a lot of work done!

Back on topic..Does anyone know if the French Canadians are in the "Elite" portion of the Military, or do they demand to have ther own "Special" group run by the UN?

Nah, not offended at all. I mean, it's right there in my title. I'm just angry because I'm a lazy bastard, and I know the military would help, but I can't join because of the aforementioned medications and such.

Other than that, Canada is a cool country. On the most part, people are nice, they have awesome Lakes, and some very nice restaurants.
