I can't believe this place!

A friend of mine linked me here when he said he didn't know I was a member and wanted to know what I did to get blamed for eveything. I had no idea what he was talking about so I came over and find he's right. You asshats have got some bawls to go around blaming me for every half-baked idea and stupid n00b comment you make.

I have been using this name for a long time now on several other sites and have acquired a reputation with it that extends to my personal life. This is the name that most of my friends [yes, you know, those people outside the box you stare at all day] use to refer to me, even in public, and it is the name which I use when introducing myself to a new person in the real world [again, that place outside your monitor.. if you can drag yourself to the clear thing in the wall you can catch a glimpse of it] and as such, this site is guilty of lible and Defimation of Character. My lawyer will be happy to intervene if this does not stop immediately.


And speaking of lawyers, there is a memeber here that has stolen my intellectual property, removed the (c) information and claimed it, intrinsically, as his own. That will be removed as well or the same lawyer will be in touch. I will not abide theft AND DoC. What kind of site are you people running here?

You people need to sack up and take the blame for your own mistakes and assinine actions instead of trying to pawn them off on me. Grow up. What is the average age here? 15? If you had taken the time to actually sit down, and look through the threads about "fluffy", you'd know that we're all refering to a dog... yes, a dog.. it's in a couple people's avatars, and the origional picture is somewhere on the forums...

oh, and as for your threat of lawsuit for defamation of character.. we had that cleared up a while back... unless you were pre-defined as being the fluffy we were discussing, and thereby linked as an actual person to this nickname, you have no case... it's all anonymous...

As far as claiming legal right to the name "Fluffy", again, you have no legal ground to stand on UNLESS you can prove, by a registered copyright on file with the U.S. Treasury, that "Fluffy" refers to you as a person. Spike Lee tried it when TNN decided to change their name to Spike TV and he lost that battle.

If you decide to go before a judge with a libel suit, he or she might laugh about it on a good day. There are literally millions of internet users that visit forums every day. To lay a propriatary claim to a nickname is the same as my trying to lay propriatary claim to the name "Rob", which, by the way, is my legal name. If you want to pursue action against this web site for libel (which, by legal definition, doesn't exist in this case as you haven't been identified by legal name), I've got quite a few house pet sites you might want to visit. Why not go sue some 80-year-old grandmother for posting that her Fluffy p*ssed on the couch again?

Yeah, i skimed over this, figured it was a joke, with the whole fluffy made me do it thing this morning, figured it was someone speaking as the dog, but this guy seems really pissed off. But yeah, Rob, your right, libel and slandar are civil matters, not criminal, basically you have to prove that monetary damage was done by what was said/printed. Weither direct or indirect, damage has to be proved. This guy doesn't have a legal leg to stand on. Can we get a mod to close this thread? Oh wait, he might sue us for that...
