Angry Today SUX!!!!!!!!!

How long before IE closes on me, I dont know,
How long before my computor restarts for no reason, I don't know.
How long before I could get into the forums, Now that I know, It is now 1050, I started at 4pm.
I was logged in, but vbullitin Refused to send me an email!

It wouldnt let me change my email either. A real can't win scenario.

XP decided to dump my system file. the one that resides under windows\system32\config\ pretty important. Took me a bit, but I restored it. Which means I have no drivers whatsoever. Well, I mean xcept the ones from MS. Which are meant for limping until the real ones are put up.
Im dealing with that and those conflicts. any time I reboot (or get booted)I have to change things. XP isnt remembering my settings.

Nortons totally locked up and the only way to fix was an uninstall. My subscription ran out yesterday TOO! The only good thing is that while messing with nortons. Since I always clean my registry before I reinstall programs, somehow, for some reason, I have no idea how it happened...really, nortons subscription reset. Subscription is good again. Hmmm.
Anyhow after 20 min Nortons cant complete the scan it hit an error and now Im trying once again.
"Norton Antivirus Scanner Module has encountered a problem and needs to close. We're sorry for the inconvenience." Hmmmm.

Seems the system reset is related to a driver, sneaky suspicion it is the Last detonator update doing it.

Is there MORE? YUP! Am I going to bore you more? Sorry, Later.

It just happends that I have a friend, that is an administrator at Symantec. If you need some personal one on one, for your Norton problems, PM me and I will get you a "past all the crap" phone number.

My father was having major problems with his Win98se system, was crashing and locking up constantly. Had a buddy go over and scan his system, found six different viruses that had him screwed up bad. Got him cleaned out and he is up and running.
Looks like each virus alone is manageable, but the group combined has you tied up good. If I were to apply Military Intelligence Analytical thinking to this I would suspect that there was a relationship and that this was a systematic attack on systems. The sum is greater then the whole with each new successful infection contributing to make it harder to issolate and identify the previous or the next attack.

Piper,
Yea I had thought of that, it's one of those things you say only in the daylight! Ya know what I mean?
It was on the top of the list of what has been happening.
On that note, anyone know if there will be a confict if I install more than one antivirus on one system os? Meaning adding McAffee as well as the nortons

Duckwarrior, You should not install more than one anti-virus program at once they will but heads with each other.. Do not ever install 2 firewalls at the same time either.. It will kill your internet connection.. If you do something besides Norton you want to make sure that all files that are related to Norton are completely gone before you install any other virus protection program...

Why do you people get viruses? I've never gotten a virus at all. Maybe it's luck, maybe it's because I don't visit all those S&M sites Duck goes to . Common sense kind of dictates if an unknown person sends you an EXE file you don't touch the attachment...But maybe you all are going to some place on the Internet I'm not. *shrug*

Problem being, I don't know if I have one or not. My problem really lies with a Microsoft Product. Anyhow how can you say that since you're the one that showed me where to go!

Ha, that's cheered me up no end - I had a miserable day too!

I ****ing _HATE_ USB! I spent approx 6 hours trying to get my new joystick to work, only to conclude that it's faulty...

Next (I _really_ hate USB), I spent about the same amount of time trying to unde**** my printer drivers, with no luck so far ...

In between, I got struck by lightning. Well, kind of - We had a belter of a storm here at lunchtime, I was closing a window (the rain was coming in horizontally so hard it was travelling twelve feet into the house. Lighting hit about 200 yds away just as I was reaching for the latch. A monster spark at least 6" long and 1" wide shot from the wall to my hand - I've got burns all the way up to my elbow (like bad sunburn) & I lost a filling!

Sounds great, never heard it myself.

For gratutitious profanity on vinyl, you should also try & hunt down anything by Kevin "Bloody" Wilson (such as "Hey Santa Claus you ****, where's my ****ing bike?"), and Eddie **** (for such illuminitang reworkings such as "Bohemian Crapsody").

yeah man.. he's great. you can find a lot of his stuff on mp3 if you look.. my favorite skit of his is "Airline Announcements".. including his tirade about the phrase "Get on the plane".. he says "F you!! i'm getting IN the plane!! let Evil Kinevil get ON the plane. I'll stay in here with the 'uniformed members of our crew' (which, as he mentioned earlier, were opposed to the un-uniformed members) because it seems like it would be a lot less windy in there..." and a good.. i'd guess 10 minutes about airline announcement that don't make any sense. he's great
