Well, it makes a change from all the unumbered, unlit, armed to the teeth, flat out helicopter traffic ... & the odd C130, of course ... all flying so low you can see how many fillings the pilots have got

They race them things up here once a year. It's supposed to be one of the biggest balloon races on the circuit. Not sure exactly how they race them but ppl get up at 4:00am to go watch them. I was mountain biking one year just north of the where they race and one got off course and landed on the trail. Must have been a long walk to get that thing out.

I remember they always used to fly over my parents' house every so often (there was a big field nearby that they used for takeoffs). Every time, our dog would always go crazy barking at it.

They still look somewhat unreal to me; these big massive things just floating there.

I've always wanted to go to the Albuquerque fest; maybe this'll be the year...

can't do that over here, they'd drop from horrible wind, kids with pellet guns, or they'd just get hit by a plane coming out of o'hare or midway.

lol i have a virgin fone too.
About an hour from my house they have a huge huge open field....middle florida, brooksville area and its owned my some ballooning club. Pretty cool to watch always wanted to ride in one
