| I'd be careful if I was you, dude. If you do, make sure that you sign up for a junk Yahoo e-mail account and use that to sign up for all kinds of "free offers", etc. Use your own private pop3 e-mail and you might as well shut it down.
I don't know for sure how these jokers get our e-mails, whether it's blind luck or they buy it in bulk from spam companies, but rest assured, give them a valid e-mail to answer to and it's going to be soaked!
I've had the same e-mail address since 1996 and with some of the stupid things that I've done when I first got on the 'net...well, according to my spam e-mail filtering service, I get around 3800 spam e-mails PER WEEK!
I've been threatened to be shut down by my backwoods pop3 service for the volume of e-mail; however, every few weeks I have to point out that I'm RECEIVING the e-mail, not sending it out.
So, if you really want to have some fun (and it would be a blast), be sure to use a junk account and not your pop3 account.
Oh, I remember some other guy pulled something similiar but had the guy hold up a sign with "Mr. Nutz" on it. Definate "props" to those who torment the slugs! |
