I don't really know WHAT to do.

Right now I work at Pizza Hut. I make 6.05/hr. I cut and make pizzas and answer the phone. Today after school, I went and applied at Target because they're building a new store. I got hired, but as a cart pusher in the middle of the summer. The wage is 6.85/hr. I don't really know what to do because I really enjoy my job at pizza hut, because of the people...but I really like the +$.80 for Target.

What do YOU pimps think I should do?

Seriously, though, I'd stick with the job I'm happier with, just because you know you're happy there and there's no guarantee for a similar situation at Target.

Go with Target. You get paid more while getting more exercise.
Exercise is good. So is money.

Eh - personally I wouldn't switch jobs unless it's a dollar an hour difference and/or more hours. I'd go for a raise at the current place first at lest.

Stick with Pizza Hut. You probably won't get as many benefits from Target as Pizza Hut, assuming you are getting some from Pizza Hut.

As 'mly said, go for a raise at PH and see what happens

How far away is Pizza Hut vs Target...could you save gas money...?

I would take Target over Pizza Slut!!! For one they pay more than you are making, two you will get a discount, three....as repeated before exercise is good!!! I think that they pay for college to if you stay that long! And the Target we have here has some good lookin ladies that work there!! I don't know if this would be the same there but hey check it out!! Plus on the nice days of Summer you might enjoy being outside rather than by a hot oven!!! Thats my 6 cents!!! Peace!!

Stay with whichever is more stable. Then apply for grants at your local colleges so you can get a degree. Then after you get it allow a headhunter to place you. After you are placed enjoy your 25+ dollar an hour job.

Well, the thing is it will be a dollar an hour difference in 30 days. +$.25 after a review. What my original plan was to take the Target job, and still work at PH for a few hours a week until I was 18 and could deliver for Pizza Hut...but unfortunately, since I'm 17, I can't have two jobs.

So here's what I'm thinking about doing:

Since exercise is good, and the pay is better, I'll talk to my manager at PH about quitting, and then getting rehired in September when I'm 18 (to deliver). She seems to like me, so I think I will be able to pull it off.

Keep the opinions rolling in. I have to wake up extra early tomorrow morning to get a urine test before work. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you enjoy your job at Pizza Slut and its stable then I say stay. You could end up changing jobs for the money and then not liking it, or them not liking you - either way you will wish you were back slinging pizzas.

A man that works outside and has the dark tan to prove it will always be more respected by employers compared to someone that looks like they just rolled off of the morgue rails. Go for Target bro, you can always take advantage of the opportunity and see how many carts you can push at once. Better yet, Time trials. Also you have the benefit of leaving one cart tucked away in the bushes at the end of the night to push around the parking lot with your car or truck. Once you get that sucker goin wicked fast slam on your brakes and watch it slam into something; destroying is always a good time imo.

I worked at target for about 4 months in the grocery department. I really really liked it there. The boss was very nice. He did not scream, or yell, or things like that. Also, the corporate headquarters was very very responsive and helpful. We constantly got upgrades to the store, our recomendation were taken seriously, and generally a very positive environment to work in.

However, my experience doesnt mean yours will be awesome. You may have an asshole boss. The employees there may be mean. You may hate what they have you doing. There is alot of ifs...

Is it located in a good community? Is it hotter 'n hell where you live?

Since its a new target, you will be getting to know everything just like the other employees. So that could be a good thing. Good comraderie.

Dude, if you're happy at Pizza Hut, then stay.

Yeah, life (especially modding) can be about money. However, you can't enjoy that money in your off-time if all you do is think about the crappy day you just had. Some of the happiest people I know are the poorest you'll ever meet.

only thing that sucks about pushing carts if it rains...

Target. I can tolerate the heat, I can tolerate the work, but I wouldn't be able to tolerate cutting pizzas for hours, the boredom. My $.02
