Default Hi Flow Acrylic

Well I just couldn't leave a hose to dangle out the back...so I whipped up this hunk of acrylic goodness. It mounts on the backplate with that thumbscrew.
Think there will be a restriction there?

Nice creative solution Zenzz, and excellent use of acrylic. I've been working with it a bunch, and I'm amazed at the possibilities.

Where do you buy your barbs from? Or do you know a good place to get them online.

The ones at home depot have 4 little eges (sorry for the noob language) to clamp on to where the ones in the pic have one and they're chrome instead of ugly brass.

You might have a hard time finding these exact barbs...
The trick thing about them, is they are hi-Flow.
You might be able to find an 0-ringed 9/16ths-18 X 1/2" hose barb, then drill them out on a drill press.
Otherwise you can get them on any number of Blocks at the "Den"

This particular piece I used a compound miter saw with a 10"-110 tooth carbide blade to cut the block off the bigger piece.
I drilled the "pilot" hole with a 1/8th plexi point bit, then the 17/32nds brad point, then I counter bored the holes for the 0-Ring with a 3/4" high speed bit.
I taped the holes from one side to the other with a 9/16ths-18 TAP.
Power sanded the block with 360 dry with a mouse sander, then wetsanded it with 400wet or dry, then 600 wet then 1000 wet.
Polished it with Novus #2 and then with #3 screwed the barbs in and got a pic to post.
total time prolly 30 mins.
