there was a point that i had to live off of nothing but a loaf of bread and a 2 litre of soda a day. it was winn-dixie bread and soda, total of $1.68 for the whole "meal." some days i was able to get a brick of ramen noodles for dinner too.. i sdtill can't eat ramen anymore

to be honest, i did eat more then that.. i was working at the winn-dixie [supermarket] and i filched a lot of the stuff that was pulled off the sahelves.. deli meat, for example,. is dated far earlier then it goes bad, just to cover their own asses. you can eat that pre-packed deli meat stuff for weeks after it's date and you never taste a difference.

I was homeless in SoCal for a month (guess it coulda been worse.....coulda been Chicago in the winter time) but I still had my car with all my posessions crammed in it (pretty mean feat for a CRX Si) and took showers at the gym on base as I still had my military decal on the car. Ate lots of Ramen during that month.

Ive been pretty lucky since this is as bad as it gets:

I rolled up all the nickels [cause that was all that was left] in the coin cup and went to Krystal's.

It was a weekend and I figured since restaurants were always short on change on the weekend, they'd be happy. Manager blew her gasket! I offered to count it out and explained it was ALL the money I had.

She said "Get out and don't do it again"
