I just picked up a bottle of disaronno and a large bottle of 151 Just put about 1/4 of the bottle *rum* in my coke from Burger king =) o yea im gonna be drunk from v-day till my b-day!!!

Have fun, but be careful with that 151 crap! Regular rum is usually 40% alcohol, that stuff you got is 75.5%! Can hurt you if you are not careful!

Try some Ron Methusalem rum sometime. That be some good Rum!

Now it's my turn. Starting with a few brews at RFDs in D.C. and heading over to Brickskellar for a strong ale tasting. Should be rocked by 8:30 and still have two hours of drinking left. That 5 a.m. alarm is going to suck!!

I used to do that in my youth but i think after 21 years old it's time to grow up a bit & time to do something else more useful in your life.

Why you gotta harsh on my desire to drink? What makes you think something bad has to be happening in my life that I need to drink? I happen to enjoy it. I enjoy the flavor of beer, I enjoy the tastings that allow me to learn the brewing process and how the brewers made the beer, and I enjoy the buzz (sometimes hammering) that accompanies it.

Do I *have* to drink? F-No! I'm 41 ... I rarely drink much anymore. But when a good beer tasting comes along, I'm going to jump in.

Same thing with a good scotch, or a smooth gin.

And obytheway, not sure what state you're from (ah, you're Canadian), but it's not UNTIL you're 21 (in America) that you're legally allowed to drink ... that's not when it's time to STOP drinking.

i stopped drinking once i hit 23- 24. i have a drink once every 3 to 4 months.

but every once in a while its fun to get blitzed. you get to remember how you could sober up when you were 20, and go to class / work

if i had a chance to go to a beer tasting event, i would be there, as it sounds like a ton of fun.

If you still need to drink a beer or two from time to time that half bad but if it's to get drunk then that is a different story...
& no matter what legal age to drink (18 or 21) most will start around 14-16 years old... still to young IMO

I haven't had a St. Pauli Girl in almost 2 years now.

Ewww, St Pauli girl. Good models not so good beer. JK The beer isn't that bad. I still get drunk once and a while, my biggest limiting factor now is that I don't have a bar within walking distance of my house. I refuse to drink and drive so it limits my options for getting totally blitzed. Sitting at home and getting tanked just isn't fun for me.

Currently I am enjoying my beer snob microbrew stage (god I am 34 and actually admit I am a beer snob, who'da thunk it). I still enjoy sitting back with a Yuengling Lager and have 2 cases of it ready to go. I also have some Dogfish Head 90minute IPA, Great lakes Burning River pale ale and Killian's Irish Red. What is sitting next to me while I type is a Columbus Brewing 90 shilling ale. It's my last bottle and it's half empty, the horror of it.

Yeah, gotta agree with that. Once in a while, if I'm gaming online, I'll have a drink next to me ... but more often than not, it gets ignored during the gaming, and then I'm pissed that I wasted a good beer. Otherwise, I won't just sit home and drink. No reason.

Now you're talking! The 90-minute is one of my stand-bys (along with the 60). I've had the 90 on tap, and it was delish -- of course, I don't live far from where they brew it. Out where you are, you probably have access to Bell's ... they do a good IPA. I also enjoyed Great Lakes when I was out there. I'm a big IPA fan. If you get to the west coast, particularly down San Fran area, there are some spectacular brews. San Diego has Russian River, and their Pliney the Elder is wonderful (they also make something called Hop15 for special occaisions ... definitely worth the trip, if you're a hop head.)

Now I'm just rambling.

See, folks? There's MUCH more to beer than just getting drunk!

I don't drink often, but loves me a good dark ale when I do.

=D i love killians and miller lite as far as beer goes.Iv'e tried fat tire before thought it was ok and i like miller lite (only pilsner i like). Could anyone recomend another good brew I may like? I do like most lager but have to yet try a good ale.

You should try the Yuengling Lager. They have a brewery down in Florida now so you should be able to get it. It's heavier/darker than a budweiser or what most beers that call themselves Lagers are. I find it has a good flavor and the price should be reasonable.
