| Ever have one of those weeks that really just wear on your mind. Last Tuesday I lost my cable line, no tv or internet till today. Neighbor is installing a fence and his contractor drilled right on the pretty line the surveyor left saying my catv was buried there. Cable company takes it's good old time to send out a tech so I just finally got everything back today, six days with no tv or internet is enough to crack anybodies spirit. Mind you the physical cable is still just sitting on the surface. It's another 7-10 days before they can be bothered to actually bury the new one. Ugh. ![]() | ||

| Glad you are back online! This will make you feel better: Last week, my truck would not start. Finally got it going, and limped it to the shop. It ran like crap. Well, found out Friday it has no 'compression'. I am not a mechanic, but that sounds like a lot of $, or a new car. Bought a cell phone so I could cancel my landline and have a cell for only 8$ more a month. Nice right? Don't get reception inside the house... Oh yeah, chipped a tooth yesterday! So, while I have no car, I have to go to work, look for a second job so I can pay to fix the hooptie or get another car, and most likely need a root canal in addition to a couple of other dental things I have been saving up for. Had to sell one of my folding borgs for cash. Well, the wine chiller is filled with some nice high end wines I got a while back for a bonus, got beer in the fridge, plenty of Rum... Gonna start this week off right! ![]() | ||

| Yup, rough week for you too. They came Friday and buried the cable. It's a cool machine, slices the ground and stuffs the cable in all in one motion. I celebrated by buying one of those Asus eeepc netbooks today. I'm gonna have to refresh myself with Linux again. ![]() | ||

| Ya, machine was made by ditch witch, looked it up and they call it a 100SX vibratory plow. All my local utilities are burried and they were already marked from before the neighbors contractor drilled a fence post hole through my catv line. It made the install guys life easier. | ||
