Congrats to you folks! I would love to see this be a yearly event.

I was not able to finish mine for the contest, but I had a lot of fun with the work I did do. Simple stuff, but my case is like no other. Just an overall good time for all as far as I am concerned!

I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to build a case and show my stuff. Also, thanks for the positive support. This being my first case build I anticipated a lot of ribbing. Everyone had excellent build ideas and I hope more will still get finished.
A big thanks to the sponsors:
www.mnpctech.com
DragonModz Shop
www.appetitefortech.com
www.pcapex.com
another thanks to Mnpctech.com for the Modders Package. That helped a lot with motivation.
That’s not to mention the prizes put up by individuals who wanted to see the competition succeed… again… helped with motivation.
I’m looking forward to doing this again…

Congratulations all winners! Awesome work everyone!

Me myself did not finish in time due to workload(been working in Brunswick,GA and I live in Jacksonville,FL so it's a hell of a ride), and weather(had few trees down from tropical storm fay) but I'm still working on it

Once again GREAT JOB and awesome to finish in time!

CONGRATS

I just want to thank you all for having this contest I'm definitely not a "case modder" in the same league with you guys, but it did spur me to get busy on my Lian Li. I've never been much interested in cases, I can't remember the last time my daily use pc had a front or side panels on it, and my "good" hardware is usually sitting on a bench with an LN2 pot bolted to it. But this may just spur me to try a little more "case modding".

I would have liked to see you somehow lay the Lian Li on its side with wheels (or tall feet as in maybe some older pots not in service?) and have the pot somehow interact with the door. I have to give you credit you didn't hold back workin with an aluminum case and a phase cooler. Thats alot of $ to go oops.

Congratulations to all the winners-- and indeed to all the participants, for it got us all off our behinds and trying to crank something out. It does mean something to go beyond vague plans and fantasies which can bounce around for ages, to actually rendering something in plastic or metal.

Specifically:

MasterAnubis - Impressive total rework. You clearly did your homework-- as this is the sort of project that can go very wrong very fast (when you realize 95% of the way in you've missed a vital clearance). I like the wall-mounted concept. It would make a great appliance server even after the main use of the case is done, just because of that "looks like modern art" nature.

Dors14 - just pulling off cutting those books neatly is an impressive feat. Combining it with the surgery on the case... and the inherent cabling difficulties that such a layout must reinforce-- shows quite a bit of talent.

MCDRL - although the colour scheme reminds me of older Sun gear, I can't help but be impressed by the thoroughness of your commitment to the style.

boshuter - I will just repeat the refrain that to attack a Lian-Li, particularly the big expensive Lian-Li, takes a lot of chutzpah. Or at least a huge budget for spares. I also like the aim towards clean and classy-- nothing bulging out like prolapsed organs.

And thanks to all the suppliers of prizes. We're all gluttons for bribery here.

Lol.... thanks guys, but I'm sure not working with a large budget, at least not enough to screw up a high dollar Lian Li. I just have to be extra careful with planning and I can assure you that every time I took the drill or Dremel tool to the Lian Li I was sweating

I want to show you another build I did earlier this year for a guy. He and I did the case from scratch out of aluminum then had it all powder coated. Once the case was ready I got busy designing, laying out, constructing, testing, and installing the phase change units inside it.

This was made to match up with a UFO duality case with two complete pc systems inside. The UFO case was also modded and powder coated to match the bottom half we built.

Hope it's ok to post these in this thread.... feel free to move or delete them if you wish. I have a complete build log on this if anyone is interested.

The flame grills were cut from aluminum with a plasma cutter and there are 3 red led fans behind them... sorry I don't have a pic with everything lit up.

Well I went to the Jaguar Football Game yesterday. I was standing in line for a cold drink when I started getting dizzy. Next thing I knew I was in the 1st Aid Station getting an IV stuck in me. After (2) bags of fluids they let me leave. All I can figure is I'm getting old to fast, I've had season tickets for 4 years now and I've never had a problem before.

Needless to say I'm still feeling pretty bad, I'll assign the consulation prizes to their New Owners in the next couple of days.

WOW! Hope you feel better soon!

I had a situation on my own this weekend....
Thursday night I got thirsty, real thirsty... been thirsty since..
Night between Thursday and Friday I probably consumed 2 gallons of liquid (juice, water, and coke).
I had to go to the bathroom like every 30-45 minutes, sooo in need to pee... but still my thirst was bigger, so I HAD to drink before peeing...

About a year ago I was Diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2... and needless to say, I haven't followed doctors recommendations to well...

So this thirst and pee thing, was my body flushing out glucose from the system....
Really got me thinking... I need to stop cool drinks like coke, I need to stop my cookie/cake eating... and i really need to change my diet, like my doctor once said, and that I then ignored.....

Congrats to the winners and a HUGE thanks to the guys who organized this! I plan to arrange more contests again... with more frequency like we used to do. PC Apex has been slumbering for too long.

Gotta agree here, it was a great contest and I too just couldn't find the time to finish. Though I am putting in some work today, hopefully I will actually get it finished soon and my comp up and running here within a week or so.
