| I just got 5 Scotch Bonnet chilli peppers, and am wondering what to do with them. Ive considered a nice hot salsa sauce and the regular chilli con carne, but im wondering if there are any culinary pimps out there with some fancy ideas? | ||

| Silly Brit, it's chile peppers and chili con carne. ![]() Pineapple habanero salsa. You can probably find a recipe online. Basically, pineapple, green onions, lime juice and habanero. Added options include fresh cilantro or oregano, honey or molasses, allspice (just a little, like 1/4 teaspoon), papaya or oranges. Add a dash of Thyme and salt to taste. Mix and let it rest in the fridge for a couple hours or overnight. For 2 cups of pineapple, start with a quarter of the scotch bonnet finely chopped. Add more if you're brave. It's really good on fish taco's and seafood in general. Habanero's don't cook well, you lose the flavor and have nothing left but the heat. Look for recipes that add them at the end or don't require cooking. Steak and burger sauce and marinade Habanero Italian dressing Lime juice Worcestershire sauce Soy sauce Black pepper I just wing the proportions. | ||

| I would not recommend eating them raw unless you want to spend the afternoon in the ER. As for culinary ideas, salsa and chili are both good ideas, or you could puree them with some vinegar and garlic and then you'll have your own hot sauce! You could also grill them first, and then you could add them to those ideas above for a smokier flavor. Or, if you really want, plug that bad boy into google and find some great recipes! Also, you could try foodnetwork.com, epicurious.com, or allrecipes.com and see what they recommend doing with them, as well as about 500000 recipes for chili, salsas, and the like! Hope that helps! | ||

| This will make 1 Gallon of my Chili Cheese Chili dip/chili eat it with chips or spoon depending on how thick you make it. Just cook the beef and throw all the stuff into a crockpot and you are set!

| if I may add to my previous advice, both salsa and chili are both perfectly valid ways to use them, if by no other fact than there are so many KINDS of salsa and chili to try, and a little SB goes a long way. you could easily make 5 huge batches of whatever from what you have. Black bean chili? turkey sausage chili? shredded pork chili? It's all good. And you can make salsa with whatever combo or fruit and/or veggies you want. try peach, mango, watermelon, even cucumbers! However, if you really want to "prove your manhood", grill those bad boys and turn them into stuffed peppers, and don't forget the Pepto! | ||

| My dad has a GREAT chili recipe! I was actually talking with Tonya about that yesterday and I was planning to call him today to get directins for how he makes it. When I get the info I will post it here for you all if you want to give it a try. If you do, you have to let me know how it turned out. ![]() | ||
