Ok so this is what Ive been up to for the last two days....
Why two days? I have been busy getting the speakers tuned just right, setting up the network on the P4 and general wiring, calibrating and testing etc...
Its nowhere near perfect and I will upgrade it gradually once Ive finished my hifi, home cinema and gaming rig! But it does do what I need it to for now.

I moved the p4 in there so I can record my mixes digitally with Creative's Wave Studio and then convert to uncompressed 224bit mp3 format
Jade's going to take some photo's of me later in-mix so I'll upload them later lol...

Thanks, Jess, I don't have any mixes handy yet ( unless I can find one of my old tapes from the mid 90's )
But will be getting some new bouncy house tracks on loan from a friend so I'll keep this thread updated

That is a pretty cool setup you got going there Paul,i hope you have another desk just for you pc and hope your not standing all the time when your surfing the WWW or posting on pcApex, looking forward to hearing some of your DJ work it sounds really cool..

By the way i miss being home talking to you and Jade on MSN and some of the other guys here it is so boring here on the weekends Wisconsin with nothing to do here, i do have a car they let me use but they limit the driving mileage on it so i can not get up to Eau Claire,WI to go see Lokie and Twizted, i did buy a new Toshiba Satellite laptop model #A215-S5818 while i was up here just to check out and see how things where going here on pcApex and to also play some signal player games, but the internet access here is so slow here it hard to even surf they have alot of sites that are block and unaccessible almost as bad as having dial up if not worst at times.

I should be going home again at the end of the month so i hook up with you and Jade soon on MSN.

I don't know a whole lot about studio deck setups, but it looks slick and look like you're havin a blast

Oh Im havin' a blast alright M.Y.!!

I have a way to go yet, still need to get
M-AUDIO's Conectiv & Torq 'V' for vinyl/mp3 interfacing.
Need to get a load of new vinyl, New amp, Studio monitors and subs.
Then there's all the production gear ie... keyboard, drum pad, loop pedal, software ( ie ableton )
and mixing desk/rack units.

It's gonna take ages as it's not a cheap hobby especially when you start to go pro!
Plus I still have my gaming rig to finish lol!!

Last night...

This afternoon...




Sunday night I got to play my first short set in a club in 12 years...

Was only a sports/fun club/bar that my mates play in but they let me have a go and it went down pretty well actually! They usually play chart music in there with no kind of mixing at all,
Well, I luckely found some Funky house cd's in their backlog.
I hated using the denon cdj's but I still managed some tight blends!
And just look at the state of those 1210's!!!The right hand side tonearm is snapped in half, Yes, SNAPPED IN HALF!! and the on/off switches are missing ( there's more damage than that but I could go on a bit... ). They've been like that for 6 months now with the manager saying - " No point in having them repaired as everythings digital now! plus cd's are better. " Yeh ok then, So I asked him very nicely if he would consider selling them to an owner who would take great care of them and bring them back to their former glory...
" Sorry pal but they're not for sale, They will be thrown out probably! " and his eyes said " That 's that!!"
GRRRR that makes me soooo Mad!!
Anyways, there ya go!

CDJ's are ok if you get familiar with them. Looks like you have a nice setup, good luck with it!
