I used Drive Image for the first time today to restore my main drive to its pre-screwy condition. I dropped over to nVidias website and picked up the newest drivers for my 5900XT - installed them and coolbits expecting atleast for them to work. Completely hosed my ability to
OC the card. Even 1
MHz on the core or memory would yeild a message after testing stating some kind of failure and try diff settings. Hit auto detect - it actually underclocked my card....hmmm Well I grabbed diff drivers and tried - same dealo. Tryed rolling back to my others - no such luck...same problem.
I have my system set to image every Tuesday in the middle of the night so I just threw in the CD....booted to the Recovery Environment. It took aloooooong time for that damn CD to completely load their snazzy Recovery Environment - a bet about 10 mins or so. But after I clicked the RESTORE button I was back up and running in another 5 mins. Total recovery time 15 mins. Since I keep all my data on another drive all that was left was to update my anti-virus files and Im running again.
All in all a good experience - I recommend this software without reservation. Worked well and restore extrememly quick....but then again it was only restoring about 10 gigs on a Raptor so ymmv.
