A far-reaching proposal from the FBI, made public Friday, would require all broadband Internet providers, including cable modem and DSL companies, to rewire their networks to support easy wiretapping by police.

They pass that bill, I'll cancel my internet and launch a massive law suit against the FBI. LOL! Its none of there business to be tapping people. if they feel something is up, then go to that persons house.

In a way I think it is funny. Not the new Patriot Act itself, but the fact that people laughed at me when I told them this was coming months ago.

all that bill getting passed is going to do is make data encryption a very profitable buisness. my advice, start buying stock in security and data encryption firms.

it's no different than the crap going on with the RIAA. the rate of technological growth is too fast for state and government to keep up with. by the time they get the ISP to totally rewire thier systems, the technology they're using will be out of date and most likely obsolete.

Well I didn't laugh.. because honestly I'm suprised they haven't gotten this passed years ago.
