| Well, my parents and I are going through some financial problems so I won't be on as much, we are supposed to get our internet access back the 23rd but I'm not totally sure if that will happen. Also I got a letter in the mail from my old job doing phone call surveys, they closed up shop and went belly up, got my last paycheck in the mail for like 130 bucks so I won't be getting that Shuttle AN35 Ultra until I can get another job. The one I was trying to get at DRS fell through, all the positions were filled the day I was able to get back with the woman about my references ![]() On the bright side, my uncle and I went way up to northern Florida near Umatilla to this old lady he knows who has a lot of computer junk out in this field. Turns out it was a pile of about 300 Dell Optiplex workstations. I just took like 6 machines and threw them in the truck, handpicked a couple and here is what I got, keep in mind it was all tested by me, came out good, and I didn't pay a dime.... 2X Dell Optiplex G1 PII 400 machines w/maxtor 4.3 hdd's 1X Dell Optiplex GX110 P3 866, 2x 128MB SDRAM, 6.4 gig seagate 2x Dell Optiplex Gn+ P200, WD 4 gig, 32mb SDRAM And the mother of them all, a Dell Optiplex GX110 with GX200 internals, PIII 1 GHz, 256MB PC700 Toshiba RDRAM , 1x Maxtor 10 gig, all tested GOOD ![]() Some of these systems has OS'es on them, which is strange for PC's that came from Lockheed Martin and Harris, etc. Also I got some internals... 4x Maxtor 10 gig 3x WD 4.3 2x Maxtor 3.2 gig 1x Seagate 10 gig 2x Seagate 6.4 gig 1x 128Mb stick Toshiba PC700 RDRAM, and a Dell continuity RIMM God knows how many 128mb sticks of PC100 (probably at least 2 GB worth) Couple of VGA cards At least 10 PII 400/512/100, all same stepping 3x PIII 500MHz Slot 1, 500/512/100, all same stepping 1x Slot 1 PIII 550, 550/512/100, cant remember steppinbg but my uncle got one with the same stepping 2x PIII Skt370 866/256/133, same stepping All of this tested good, was free, and is having OS'es loaded on them. Also I nabbed an AMD K6-2 533, its sitting at 550 in Storm Warning which has been bput on hold until I can get a somewhat reliable source of income. I also got a Promise Ultra ATA33 RAID card, so if anyone knows how to set one of those up with Windows 2000 PM or e-mail me or just put it in this thread, it along with those Maxtor 10 gigs will go in Storm Warning and it will be used as a mass storage/backup device. One more thing, my 5 K6-3 case badges from eBay arrived Saturday and I already have one on Storm Warning ![]() I wont be in until tomorrow so peace out J-DIZZLE FOR RIZZLE YO WOOF WOOF | ||

| Well I finished setting up a couple of the workstations, lemme tell y'all something about Dell cases, they're a bitch to work on but once you learn your way around one you wonder why normal PC cases like Antecs and Lian-Li's aren't built this way. The power supply opens up like a door, it sits on the bottom of the door and opens like the doors on the Delorean, the motherboard is held in place by one screw and all you do is remove it and slide the board to the right and it comes out, the CD-ROM is removable, it slides in and out and is held in place by a clip on each side, I think I used a screwdriver 3 or 4 times in disassembling one o_O I'm getting a few more Optiplex GX110's and GX1's, when I sort through everything and get it all up and running I'll put it up for grabs here first before it goes to eBay or Rogers, he has a nice 21" monitor that I'm thinking about trading him a couple of these workstations for ![]() J-DIZZLE FOR RIZZLE WOOF WOOF | ||

| Ya man i know what your talkin about. I actually like openin up the inside of my dads dell tower. I dont even have to use a screw-driver to open it up nor to remove and of the PCI cards. Just push the tab on the top and the one on the bottom and it splits open down the middle. Vary good design by Dell i give them a big | ||
