Default This Suks........

Well..........I began my move down to Augusta, Georgia yesterday, without much incident. I pull into a Taco Bell in Alexandria, Kentucky and I notice smoke coming from the front of the car. I popped the hood, the engine compartment of my 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP is on fire----TOTALLY!!!!!...........I yell at my girlfriend to start unloading the car. The fine people at Taco Bell also helped in getting all my belongings (including my rig) unloaded from my burning car. By the time the fire dept. got there, the whole engine was melted as was everything else in the engine compartment. So, right now me and my girlfriend are at her brother's house here in Kentucky, waiting for tomorrow so I can deal with the insurance company and trying to get another vehicle so I can continue my move down to Augusta, GA.............This suks!!!!!!.....

Dam Dood,
you are one lucky man to have a quick thinker, and the head not to panic...glad to see nobody got hurt.
Helps to have family nearby as well. I have an extingusher in my rig just for those kinds of things,
I hope your insurance gets you'all on your way again soon...

Yeah.........I was thinking the same thing.......I was lucky it didn't happen somewhere, 50 miles from nowhere........now I just have to find a way to get me, my girlfriend and my stuff down to Georgia. I'll probably have to deal with the insurance company on Monday, along with trying to rent a truck to haul my stuff the rest of the way........GEEEZE this suks................

Everytime I tell somebody I have a fire extinguisher in my car, the response is always "Why do you have it in your car???" And they give me the "you're weird" look. For times like those man...times like those.

Another good one is:
Because the one on the fire engine might just be here a little too late...

When we were driving to Birmingham,AL, and on the way there was this Pontiac totally engulfed in flames on the side of the highway. The lady that was probably the driver was back about 20 yards freaking out while some guy was trying to calm her down. Once something like that starts, there isnt much you can do unless you are a quick thinker with a powerful fire extinguisher.

Talking I could use a job

Pm me ..... seriously

I got a Pontiac minivan, I live in Atlanta, I'll drive up and get ya and girlfriend, drop you in Augusta and be home in time for dinner.

Get a quote from U-Haul or Ryder for a one-way drop off. I'll do it for less.

You wanna go Monday or Tuesday?

Seriously,
-MF

Hey, thanks everyone for your support........I really appreciate at this time.......I just got back from a dealership, trying to purchase a used pickup. I'll find out tomorrow whether or not the loan goes thru. Hopefully it will and I can finish my journey to Augusta, Georgia. I'll let you all know what happens with that. Thanks again........Nice to know I have friends out there....

Well.......here's an update as of this morning....I'm in the process of trying to purchase a used pickup truck from the dealership here in Kentucky. If that don't go through, then I'll be heading back up to Michigan (via Grayhound) to get a pickup from my dad (thank God for Dads....last resort though). Either way, I'll be down in my new home in Augusta, GA by wednesday...........
