Default A LOOK @ CUSTOM PC Magazine (U.K. Publication)

Custom PC is 6 issues old and only avail in U.K. (so far?)

I was contacted by Custom PC's staff writer Alex Watson about sending off some samples overseas of my Fighter Pilot switchs. I said "sure thing," btw Alex, How about a sample of the mag in return?! When it arrived, I thought it was one of my car parts catalogs as I pulled it out of my PO BOX. The covers like card stock and big glossy pics accompany all the review articles. Our Maximum PC Magazine looks/feels like a rag in comparison. Good articles and in depth hardware reviews in Custom PC. Photography excels over MaxPC. I especially liked the full page Case reviews.

I would have liked to seen a DIY case mod article or "how to mod this" column. Maybe this is already in the works. Its only their 6th issue so I'm sure new ideas are still churning among staffers.

I'd definately buy Custom PC if it was avail at the local newstand. I have no doubt other Yanks would too.

Brits vs. Yanks magazine comparison

March issue of Custom PC - 130 pgs.
Size: 9" x 12-7/8"

Feb issue of Max PC - 96 pgs.
Size: 8" x 10.5"

"Interesting Bill, but whats inside?"

Just a few articles that peaked my interest. Notice Custom PC utilizes nice and big photos

I don't know if it was just my first time seeing it or it's been going on a while, but check your local convenience store for a magazine called PC MODDER. It's pretty good; just under half an inch thick too I'd say.

Just remember at the end of words swap around ER for RE like theatre and centre. Also adding a useless u at the end of words like colour.

that looks pretty nice... I'd love to see it over seas.

On a side note that cover just reminds me how dumb I was/am to have gotten Corsair XMS over HyperX BH-5 (newegg still has PC-3000 2-2-2)...

EDIT: mnpctech, any chance you can do I higher res scan of the Memory page?

They don't seem to be that keen on selling it to anyone in the UK either

I spent a couple of fruitless hours going around in circles on the their website(s) looking for subscription information, trying to register, being told I'd already registered, having my registration confirmed but with a username that seemed to have been created out of thin air, had a different (unknown) password & was for the parent groups' s site anyway ... I gave up & tried emailing them the address you posted earlier instead.
