My Son-in-Law just got act of war and says , if i liked WC2 , this would be a good one . It the same type of game only its with military troops an such. Have any of you played it and if so is it good ????

I loved WC2 so based on that would this be a game for me to waste some of my hard earned cash on ( ok so it wasnt hard earned , im just CHEAP ) :biggergri

Act of War is 'alright.' Personally, I think Warcraft II is much better. There is no better real time strategy game than Starcraft and Command and Conquer in my eyes though

Ok, im goin to my Son's house in a bit , so i'll take a look at the Act of War game. I called mih and told him about your recommendation of Starcraft and of cours DUH , he said he has that game in his cabinate of games, so im pickin it up tonight.

Seein' as y'all are pushin Command & conquer , im gonna pick it up next weekend
( the one you linked me to Rob) plus the read on it sounds really good.

BTW, because I loved AvP2 so much, my son says there's Warcraft II style of game based on AvP , anyone ever played it ? he said its kinda old.

AOW Is OK, alot of units and such though, sometimes it feels a bit unbalanced when playing against the AI in skirmish. The campaign in a bit too long though, its about terrorism and gas.

You guys ( NCXC & Rob ) were dead on , this game is GREAT , and i love that you can move more than just 9 troopers . I must say that my stratagy is kinda flawed though, im on level 3 of the first game and i havent scored higher than 45%, gues the " victory through shear numbers" tactic isnt earning me enough points, ima have to actually think :biggergri

Actually my problem with the later C&C games was that I could beat just about any single player mission by wheeling three max ranked vehicles around the level.

Rob - this game is GREAT , although im still on the first of the series (level / mission 10) I love it, the whole game is great , but i like the squishing sound when a trroper gets run over the best .
