im wondering whether i should buy 1GB of pc3200 or 512 GB of pc4000
im going for overclocking capabilities but would the 512 MB decrease be noticeable?

512MB is more than enough memory.
You should get the memory speed closest to your FSB speed and run it sync, if possible.
