| Thought this would be a good topic to start...What are some games that you remember being the most frustrating because they were so difficult, or what have you... List them out, and give your reasons...I'm trying to think of these off the top of my head (instead of from the bottom, thats a dark pit I don't want to venture in again...)... NES: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Having to save Raphael (the most useless of the four in that game, but my fav ::biggergri) for the water levels and try to manuever through them without getting hit by the electric seaweed...and no checkpoints... Who Framed Roger Rabbit - To this day, I still have no idea what to do in this game...fighting was the most akward and never really accomplished anything...plus, Roger kept getting killed/kidnapped by those damn weasels SNES: Final Fantasy III: The game itself wasn't hard, but the last three bosses (especially the "weapon" boss and Kefka..) were insanely hard... N64: Blast Corps: The latter levels get really difficult to get through. Especially the, you have 2 minutes to clear the bombs path... Still want a remake though! GC: can't really think of one... PS2: Don't play it...don't know ![]() XBX: Mafia. Though, one of the best games I've ever played...the racing level was by far...the most frustrating and difficult levels i've ever been able to play. Literally took me days to get the track down. If you didn't get first within the first 20 seconds..you would lose. Then you couldn't mess up at all...or you'd lose. NFL2K5 - as much as I love this game...sometimes I'd get so pissed with the stupid calls, the dropped passes, and the "glitches" in the game that people would exploit. especially the cheesers that would rush with Vick all day and your defense would jsut stand around watching him... PC: Counterstrike...sometimes this game is so awesome, but others its so damn hard to comprehend how the developers let an automatic shotgun not have recoil? Or the insta-snipe (and no recoil) on the AWP...grr...i still love it though ![]() So, fellow GameApexers? What are your thoughts? Inquiring minds want to know! | ||

| HAH! Great thread ![]() Hmm.. does "Tetris" in the PCA arcade count? Enko is a god among men... Seriously though, I always found any of the Myst games to be maddening. I'd stand and stare at something for days trying to figure it out, when I had missed looking behind a rock 3 levels ago and finding the answer. ::EDIT:: I forgot to mention Black & White 1. I spend forever spanking my monkey to get him to obey, then he shrank away into nothingness and I couldn't get him back ![]() (And no, I'm not kidding... that's what happened) | ||

| I don't exactly remember some of the older games, but I know the 2 I've been playing recently have their frustrating points: Call of Duty 2 - I just got to the American campaign. The battle on Omaha beach, what a pain, I had to turn down the corpse level to stop the lagging. NFS Most Wanted - When you get a great lead in a blacklist race by slamming the other guy into the wall or something and as you're about to finish, you realize the guy is coming up on you really fast and beats you. The catchup mode in this game is definitely the most frustrating part of the game. | ||

| Apex Techie Wannabe | The most frustrating game i played recently was DOA 4 for the 360! It was hard beyond anything i have ever played. They messed up the game when they changed the counter system. It used to be the coolest thing(the counter moves that is) but now it is better not to even use them. And also I would have to agree with my buddy NCXCstud about Counter Strike. The game would be so much more fun if there were no snipers!! The shottys are ok i guess, but snipers can get on your nerves really fast!! ![]() | |

ah i beat it it was pretty damn hard... but Halo 2 legendary is nothing compared to Halo 1 legendary ..just the level when you first hit the ring.. and you have to save the survivors. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Myst drove me nuts (i still haven't recovered  ), and so did the original Tomb Raider (seriously): i liked Tomb Raider a lot up until very close to the end...i want to say it was a portion of the game where the floor drops out, stuff swings at you, and more deadly objects occasionally try to run you over all at the same time. When i hit that part, i thought to myself, "This is not fun", and i put the game down and never picked it or the sequels up again. | ||
