Why is it that all the awesome LAN parties happen out west? As a New Englander,
I've missed out on some cool LANs like Showdown and such. We need a New England
gamer roll call! If you live in New England (or willing to travel to new england)
and interested in organizing a huge LAN, Post up! I'm willing to go anywhere for something huge, so lets hear it!

I'm gonna be up there all summer for an internship so let me know if you get one going cause i'll show up

Might I suggest some 10-W30 for those gears.

I live in PA and so do about 5 other Apexers. I've been begging for a PA north east LAN forever.

Long Island here. But New England has Digital Overload in Rhode Island sponsored by CAD March 7-9th. A friend of mine went last year and said it was pretty good. I couldn't go 'cause my daughter was due the that week, so....

And this year I have no extra cash for LAN parties. Something about having a house and two kids....

In addition to Digital Overload try Nor'Easter Spring 2008 which is put on by the Lane Party Associate of New England. Looks like it takes place in Hudson MA on Intels campus.

I knew about the Nor'Easter but I had no idea about Digital Overload. Anyone want to get together and goto one of these events? I'm really aching for a lan party and I would love to sit next to my fellow PC apexers!

EDIT: I'd love to goto the Intel one, seeing its on my birthday. If anyone wants to go let me know!

Too Coled up there, I think that we should have one in central PA, its warmer, and theres a nicer distance for the guys in MD, DE, OH, and WV. Plus central PA would be cheap to rent out a hotel lobby or something. Even someones house..... (we could also use a BARN..

Man, this whole family responsibility thing cuts into my lan time . . . *laughs* Well, and the unemployment factor cutting into my funds to do such things.

On the other hand, once things start to settle down for us (some time in the next decade, from the feel of it) if we can get some smaller lan get-togethers planned in the Maine area, myself and the wife may be able to attend, maybe even bringing the boys along to break them into the culture of gaming properly.

Yea that would be cool to have a lan around here. The only one I know of, is at my high school but all they play is CS 1.6... .

I'd def be willing to travel for one too. PA is a little far for my budget, but I could do MA.

Drougnor and GTO, definitely guys.. I don't know how far into maine you guys are. but I'm willing to go up there, maybe we'll set something up in the spring. As for the Mass one, definitely come! I hope to meet some of my fellow pcapexers.

I'd be down for something in the PA area. I could visit my sister at the same time.

Sk8forMaple, I'm in Waterville, about 2 hours from the NH border. GTO's about 45 minutes to the southwest of me if I'm remembering where Readfield is.

The last time I lanned was in Bangor, ME about 6 or 7 years ago. We focused mostly on Quake 3, but I was also the resident UT player at the time, as well. I haven't been able to competitively play since then, so I'm likely back to being a n00b, but if we can swing some weekend when we can get a group together, I'm all for dusting off my gaming mouse and keys and seeing what kinda hell I can raise.

We may even be able to talk Buzz_4_20 outta the great white north of Presque Isle at some point.
