If any of you went and saw the new lord of the rings movie you may have seen this ad..

Its called ns-5...the thing is a trip...if you look through the site it has pics and stats about the robot...all I can say is wow.

I saw the movie last night, i didnt think much of that ad cause it didnt look like it was real.

Well I found another robot thing..this time they are dancing robots made by sony..these guys look real too heh.

A number of times during the QRio demo, the robots have one foot off the 'floor'. Can't tell you how difficult that is for a robot - or at least how tough it was back when I was studying such things. But now with microgyros and other Segway type technology it may not be as big a deal.

Sweet! Dancing robots! Those do in fact look quite real, very fluid movements...like marshmallow men, hehehe.

The sony robots are real, honda even has a robot somewhat like sonys, except thiers came out first. I have serious doubts about the ns-5 being real though. But then again why would the advertise like they have been? Or why havent any news channels or shows reported on it yet?

But I do think the ns-5 is legit...I doubt they would play commercials in a movie theater on probably the biggest movie released this yr for no reason.

If you look thru the site under features you would see a positronic brain and "3 rules safe".
I believe it's an ad for a movie based on Issac Asimov's I Robot. Positrons are antimater. Think BIG BOOM when they mix with regular matter.

Yeah, this didn't seem right at all. After all, coming out in July? With no fanfare until now? Why is called the NS-5? Where have the other ones been? The commercial didn't show it in motion too much, and it all looked CG. It didn't add up, thanks Slider. Still, that's some great advertising.

As for those dancing little suckers, it's crazy that we live in a world where robots can dance and I can't even dance the robot

those sony robots are crazy, iv seen a little bit on the honda ones but not to much video of them besides a little snip-it in a commercial that they had.

Well the ns-5 looked real to me =\ Eitherway I think its badass...I would still take a full size johnny 5 any day heh.

but if they're just there to dance, I'll be like, " YEA, dance ma hoe's"

BTW: I would take the ns-5 over johnny anyday, then I could re-program him to be my hoe or my slave..... the ther robot is greek for robot...
