Not being rude, but what the h311 have you got on your feet ? They look worryingly like trainers ... have you got any idea what tarmac does do to unprotected ankles if you get one trapped under your bike? Average tissue loss is 1mm per 10mph per 100kg of bike ... so a 170kg pocket rocket at 50mph looses you 12.75mm ... nearly half an inch. Take care of yourself out there ... & be especially careful in the second week - in my experience that's the tme you're most likely to throw a new bike down the road. oh & come on ... & a clear visor? ![]()

| Hate to agreee with an english git, but I'm with him on this one. If you add boots, then you have the absolute minimum I'd ride with, period. Kansas isn't even a helmet state, I get some funny looks in the summer, but it's worth it, trust me. Is this your first bike? If so, get thine a$$ to an MSF course, pronto, and ride as much as you possibly can. Experience will be your saviour, all you gotta manage is to get yours before it gets you. Nice ride You still doing the dragon next year Ducati? Maybe we should organise a PR group thingy LOL | ||

I just thought I'd mention it ... I've seen a lot of other people have a prang in the second week, & I've done it myself too The 10th day is absolutely the most unsafe of new bike ownership - it's the point where the gap between confidence in the machine & actual knowledge of its characteristics is at it's widest.
Nah .. I find a medium brown tint or mirrored one much better for contrast... + I've found it a important feature of road safety to intimidate car drivers - them not being able to see your eyes, a loud exhaust & a big frontal aspect are all useful. Did you see the pic of my bike I posted recently? No-one pulls out in front of me when I'm on that - because they can see they'd get a faceful of glass & scaffolding if they did. btw, I don't know what the law in your state is, but here tinted visors are illegal, but clear ones with a filter stuck on the inside aren't.

| Yup sportbilly it is my first bike..I gont one up on ya..I took the msf class about 6 months ago...I learned a TON in the msf course. Jonny I will make sure not to ride my bike on the 10th day of ownerhip lol(since you want to jinx me haha)but damn thats when the car show is so I want to ride hah. As for the visor..night riding would be a pain in the arse but I could always keep the clear visor in my HUGE trunk space lol...ya I saw ur bike and someone has already cut infront of me...I dont udnerstand why but after they cut me off they started to stare at me...oo well just like they say at msf training...
