Pulled a chipset cooler off a borg. All I get is one freaking beep of the main rig. And with no northbridge cooler, the borg is down now. So I have to wonder, why do I have all these computers running. I mean I am all about some folding, but ####. Just drunk and frustrated, will figure the stuff out Tuesday or Wednesday. But what happened to manuals that listed the freaking beep codes... And why do I keep on trying to keep the damn things running?

My single-wide is so quiet now.

Thanks for letting me rant/vent a bit. Like I said, I will sort it all out this week sometime. Just gets to me at times.

Well I'm sure everyone appreciates your folding help. But I know how you feel. Its almost too bad they don't make a mini OS just for folding like something that runs off a Linux Live CD.

DSL, i even made F@H automatically setup and run with my screeny and team 596. All off a CD, my three of four borgs used that for a while

My borgs ended up being put down, they all did a WU is a month. When i have time to set them all up again, and have a nice switch for them all (i have like ten now) I will cluster them with PK, which i did with three of them once, and it worked like a charm.

I hear you fred_g I got6 full rigs in my house, right now i have one running, I'm thinking on my break this week i'll get around to fixing them all. My server was running a comcrap motherboard, and it finally doesn't like booting certain things, its only like 12 yrs old. So in the process of moving it to my socket a Mobile 2600, DFI Lanparty UT setup.

But my gaming rig, my linux rig, my server and my mother daily driver are all down, its sucks when you don't have time. Finals were last week and this week.

Things are looking a lot better today! I got the borg back up, typing this on it now. Another socket A back folding. My dual core system is not looking good. I rigged up a temp. northbridge cooler, and it won't post... Just one two second beep...

But here is the good part. I got a new cooler ordered from the 'Egg, if it does not work, screw it, I will order a new Intel dual core system. Got bored this morning with no computer games to play, cleaned out a desk drawer and found $400 I had forgotten about!

What NB cooler did you go with?

The reason you fold is because of a customer I programmed a remote for who has Stage 4 terminal lung cancer, and my grandfather who died from complications of Alzheimer's.
