| Has there been any sort of "concrete" pricing information on the Wolfdales yet? Money is not going to be that much of an object when I get home, but I would still like to be able to save as much moolah as possible, while still being able to build a relatively future-proof system (to last me at least 2-3 years)... | ||

dont remember where i read this but here in canada there gona sell just a bit over $200.cdn ($220-$240) for the E8400 , now imagine on how the "old" C2D (65nm) will be salling for...can't wait for this ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

1) The dual cores should work in the 680 boards AFAIK. 2) I've heard of one of these running 4ghz+ on air. 3) Nehalem will be the next big thing at the end of this year, and that will require a whole new motherboard and likely DDR3 as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm looking forward to these Dual Cores too, it would be nice if Intel had made one with a 10x multiplier though. I've also been hearing that the non extreme edition 45nm Quads O/C pretty poorly. If E8400's are £100 and I can get 4.5GHz out of it then I'll get one. | ||

The 8500 has a higher multiplier, so it's supposedly better for OC. And also they need a top end product that they can slap a premium price on. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
