I currently have around 100 AOL discs. I am saving them for the next time I go skeet shooting and run out of clay pigeons.

Default AOL disks

I had about 100 of them. They may have been lost when we moved. I was planning on saving them and making mobiles out of them. They are shiny and colorful.

One time I used them as archery targets. They splinter and shatter real bad so I wouldn't do it where animals could possibly eat them or if you have pets. Had a hell of a cleanup so won't shoot them anymore! LOL!

I tell ya, we had some fun with those CDs...
We were doing some minor welding before on aluminum (which wasn't quite working out when we actually tested the strength and it snapped...so later we switched from the acetalyne torch and filler rod to tig welding) and had this square aluminum about 2 feet long and an inch wide, and on the end was a little short piece of the same at about 2 inches long perpendicular to it. We were testing the strength of it (just for the hell of it, in the parking lot) by hammering down on the cement...well, it help up! And it was like a little hammer with a long shaft. Well, there were some already scratched CD's of all sorts in the back of my friend's truck...so Batter Up! *WHAM* shatters into all sorts of pieces and shiny flecks of CD stuff bursting out and lingering in the air a moment. Sent a few pieces all the way across the parking lot (200 feet or so). You should try it something though! get a baseball bat or something and do a little skeet shooting...Pull! *WHAM* (damn it's so much fun...no more AOL CD's!)

Anyway, what were we talking about? Damn I'm tired...

a peice of plastic flying 200 feet? i doubt it.. not enough mass, like trying to throw a wiffle ball.

but anyways, i started collecting them a few months back, got about 3 shoe boxes full. i plan to make some sort of a gun that will send em flying (like a clay pigeon gun)
will be fun.
