| For the last 2 months, my 'neighbor' over 100 yards away, has been blasting bass music at me EVERY FREAKING WEEKEND! Tried the 'nice' route, he will not come to my house and hear how loud it is. Time for the 'Horn o' Plenty.' I did this years ago with great results. The horn is your basic house boat horn powered by an air tank. Sounds like a train is near... I have 30 yards or so of wooded area to hide the horn and run the air line. This is going to be a fun project for me. I tried being nice. Did not work. I will get an exact distance measurement Monday. This will end. I have had the floors of my tin can rattling since 10 am today and all of the last few weekends. This is how it will sound, except it will come from a house... Videos - HornBlasters.com Honestly, this is driving me mad! All I hear is bass, the floor vibrates, it is time to strike back. ![]() And the folks in the link are just arse clowns. I just posted it for the sound. This will be fun for me. | I love the train horn. I have been wanting to put one of those in the truck for a long time. Seeing the A-Holes blowing it on that video may be the motivation I needed. Good luck with the neighbor, if that doesn't work I would recommend removing the offending house. There are many ways to do that. | ||

Well, there is no need to get rid of the house, I just need a way to fire back acousticly(sp) I have used the horn in the past with great results. We shall see what I get here. E

If it's that loud, you could always call the police. It's noise-pollution if it's breaks the right dB limit. Then again, I think your horn idea is absolutely friggin' genius, and I salute you for it.

| It is borderline on the DB level for daytime noise. We have quiet laws that kick in around 10PM which are pretty good. This would apply more toward my right to the peacefull enjoyment of my house. Much harder to prove to a police officer, with video and DB levels, it would work great in court. I work 6 days a week. I usually get off work on Saturday around 4 or 6, and go back to work on Monday. That is my time to relax, recharge my batteries so to speak. I can't relax when I hear bass all day. Another neighbor has complained to him also, so negotiations are open. I will talk to him one more time, then, dang it, out comes the Horn 'O Plenty... As far as the police, if the horn is hidden, and not going off when they show up, how hard will they look for it? I think camo paint is in my future... ![]() E | ||
