is available today at the Nvidia NZone site. I'm downloading

Lol...did you realise it took them a year and a half year to program that?

I'm currently on my second and third attempts at download...been at it since 11am this morning and its now 5 in the afternoon. Hopefully this time, one of them might work.

Is it just DX10? Pretty lame (and totally stupid of EA, means probably 95% of people won't be able to play the demo) if it is.

Oh nice, just realised Opera has crashed again at 100% downloaded, and the demo won't install. FFS!!! Well, my IE download is done in 5 minutes...let's hope that can handle the incredible task of correctly downloading a 1.77gb file without b0rking.

Fingers Crossed. I've decided to get it on a Torrent (its picking up speed nicely though), as I have work to do for tuesday.

Crysis requirements are crazy. 12GB HDD space!

Holy cow 12gb of space now that is one hell of a big game, i think the biggest game i got only took less then 5gb.

Meh, I'll stick with playing Fallout 1 & 2 and the BG series

Ain't no way I'm using up 12 gigs of space just for a game which only includes fancy graphics and lets me punch through shacks.

Since I am a FilePlanet subscriber I am downloading it from there... looks like it will take almost 2 hours.

I have been playing Clive Barker's Jericho lately... VERY INTENSE game.

GREAT visuals and the usual Clive Barker gore.

just read the sys. reqirments and they seem a bit stupid

For XP users - 2.8Ghz or better CPU
For Vista - 3.2 Ghz or better

WTH is that about ?? I dont get it , are they sayin' that if im runnin' vista my 2.4Ghz Q6600 aint good enough LOL PAAAAAAAAAAALEASE

As for the DX question - It says DX9.c

CPU speed ratings are probably based on Pentium 4.

As for me, finally got the demo. Can only run it at medium, no AA, 1680x1050 which is disappointing. I need a new graphics card.

Damn Virgin Media to hell with their MEGA Expensive 2meg connection!! I'll be damned if I'll pay 45-50 quid extra on top of an already 80 quid per month connection for an extra 6megs

HAHAH you are right... too funny.

Zaltan: If I remember correctly, your system is very similar to mine (Q6600 OC to 3.2GHz, 4GB RAM, and 8800 GTX) and when playing the multiplayer demo I was running at 1280x1024, high quality settings (without any AA) and it ran fairly smooth. AA is what eats up most of your GPU horsepower. Plus, I would much rather run a game a 1600x1200 without AA than run it at 1024x768 with x4 AA. At 1600x1200 you barely see any jaggedness as it is and the games looks much more crisp.

Yeah probs. Mine is completely playable at 1680x1050, but I'd love some more frames to make it more fluid.

I think we're back to the old order of things - only the highest end cards/SLi can run the most graphically demanding games properly. We've been so spoilt lately with various iterations of the Unreal 3 engine and Source, which will run incredibly well at high settings, this feels weird.

I love Source... I play Episode 2 with all the options on full 1440x900 res and it still flies. Certainly doesn't look bad either, for whats virtually 3 year old tech.
