Default Formica vs ESD laminates

Does anyone here know if formica is nonconductive, like setting motherboards and such on while running ?? just wondering , as its cheaper than actual ESD laminate.

As long as it's not the metalic finish, yes its non conductive.

Some metalic finishes have iron baked in.

YUP!!! got some sweet cabinates from a remodel a bit back , an now that im not working , figured its time to upgrade the shop a bit. Got some real nice 3/4 smooth ply but kinda want a nice clean light color benchtop . Thanks to Lokie , a quick shot the Home Depot , I'll have a nice top to go with my oak cabinates, then I just need to paint the walls and do some hard wiring for network/ power / lighting

Heres where im at so far . Messed up measuring , so that gap is 2" to narrow for my rackmount stuff. I'll fix it tommorow
