| I need to find a new mouse. 4'th Logitech mouse has gone south on me today. I love the way they feel, but after the 4th one is cr@@ I am done with them. Worked great for a while, then developed tracking problems. So what are the super I337 mices? E | ||

Never had any problems with my logitech mice i have a G7 and the laser 1000MX, the only issue i have found out is with my G7 seems like the battery life does not last very long as it use to when it was new, but thank to Logitech they supply 2 batteries with it. I have been told that Razor our very reliable to own.

| I've never had problems with Logitech mice, and I have plenty of experience with them. I currently use (in different situations on different machines) an MX1000 (primary), G5 (gaming), MX510 (test bench), MX518 (in my laptop bag), MX700 (don't use anymore, but did for 2 years), and my son Dylan has an MX300. The only problem I have ever had was one of the MX700s I had stopped recharging. Other than that, everything is great. The one MS wireless mouse I have has tracking problems when it is more than 2' from the receiver. | ||

| i own an older razer diamondback and its awesome, and never let me down. i love the 1600dpi too. if you game i'd recommend you to get it. if you need one for everyday use then the mx518 is definetly the way to go Last edited by deere; 03-September-07 at 12:43 AM.. | ||

| I've used both a Razor Diamondback and Logitech MX500 and MX518. The 500 start having major issues on multiple computers (but still works fine on some ), so I got the 518 to replace it. I love the 518 to death and it's still holding strong after daily abuse. I never quite liked the feel of the diamondback, but it's a decent mouse. Honestly I feel the 518 is more accurate on it's highest setting than the diamondback. One of my housemates owned the Diamondback but never used it, so I put it to the test and gamed with it for a while and did some photoshopping with it. Like I said.....i'm still using logitech. Even if another two logitechs die on me, I'll probly still be scrambling to buy more. Microsoft is the only other good comany aside from razor and logitech, but I've just never seen an MS mouse I liked. I had an MS intellimouse a long time ago and the grip SUCKED, so i'm a little biased. As much as it might suck, I would probly buy another Logitech! | ||

| In my experience, Logitech mice are great. My original MX700 was discarded due to the battery but the replacement has been stellar for a couple of years now. The MX1000 I have on my primary rig has worked out great, but I actually like the MX700 better. Unfortunately, I gave the 700 to my wife and she refuses to trade with me for the 1000. My problem had always been my habit of killing keyboards. I would go through 2 or 3 a year. Logitech fixed that as well with a Pro Wireless, it's held up for two years now. | ||

| Just to chip in my two cents ... Logitechs = good if you rest your palm on the mouse Razors = good if you just use your fingers to move the mouse Logitechs are a bit bigger, razors are a bit skinnier ... something to keep in mind, if you're buying online. | ||

| Another logitech fanboy here. I currently use the mx revolution and the s510 kb/m/r combination and the only problem i've had to date is the s510 doesn't like being to far from the reciever. other than that, exellent quality. the mx revolution I've had for about 3 weeks now and I'm still really impressed with it, so much so that I'm getting a vx revolution for my lappy. | ||

| Sempr0n? | Razer | For Gamers. By Gamers.™ On my third, though not because any of them broke! I have one for my laptop, and sold a housemate my old Copperhead. Love the Death Adder; it's great because you can use your fingers or the whole of your hand on it, such is the shape. And if anyone's interested in something new, M$ have revived the SideWinder brand for a new gaming mouse... | I had the original Razer Boomslang, and it rocked. I also have the DIamondback and it is to light for me. I am waiting for Razer to release their new laser mouse that is shaped like the original Boomslang... ![]() But yeah, it not Logitech, then Razer. | ||

Tru dat! I have absolutely enormous hands, and so many mice are just too small for me. Even with the Logitech G5 I can't properly allign my fingers in all the appropriate grooves. Sucks. Talking quality now, I've owned pretty much Logitech mice as long as I've used computers. I had a Microsoft basic laser mouse that the cable tore on after a few months. I stick to Logitech now. Using a G5 which I've had for about 8-10 months and it's working perfectly, the cable and it's sleeving is rugged, the grip surface has never worn down, and it's even comfortable under over-sized bear paws! ^_^ The Razers do look sexy as hell, I'll give 'em that. And the blue lights on the model I like would go with every other light/LED on my rig. Last edited by Mr. Fiddles; 03-September-07 at 10:21 PM..

| I was planning on geting the boomslang C.E but whith 4000dpi I might just swing for that Lachesis. ![]() But yeah Razer ftw. I switched over a couple of years ago when I realised my G5 sucked. I'm now very very happy with my Diamondback. I still occasionally use my old school marble mouse for odd stuff. | ||

| On my 2 work computers, I have a Logitech MX 600 and a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 5000. (Granted I don't use either for gaming, but it is interesting to be able to compare the products side-by-side.) The Logitech has a much more solid, high-quality feel to it, and the button placement is slightly better. I still prefer the thumb button placement on the old Logitech MouseMan series, though. By comparison the Microsoft feels like a hollow plastic shell. The materials are cheaper, and the buttons have more "wiggle". But on the plus side, the batteries last for 3-5 months on standard AAs, where the laser-based Logitech eats a pair of expensive Energizer e2's every 4-6 weeks. Also, I like that Microsoft's software supports scroll wheel acceleration, which is very useful in navigating long documents. | ||

Yup, I bought the black cordless Microsoft Mouse & Keyboard combo, so that when I'm in bed I can use the PC from the comfort of the bed without getting up, using my TV as the second monitor, and I have the Logitech G5 as my main mouse at the desk. It's amazing the accuracy difference, the delay, the stuttering and lag that I get when using the Microsoft cordless mouse in any game, plus the cheap feel and lack of additional mouse buttons, lights, or any extra aesthetics. I think I need a G15 keyboard to go with the G5 mouse <3
