| The critics are probably giving ratings based on the film as a stand-alone movie. You really need to consider the trilogy in its entirety for the movie to have it's full affect. I will admit the symbolism was a little heavy handed at times, but never unnecessary. By the way, I was there for the 6AM premier, and totally agree with Lokie; "awesome." | ||

| Saw it twice ! Once Weds and once thurs. I definitely agree with necr0phage, you really have to look at Revolutions as what it is, part of the Trilogy...and not just a stand-alone movie. And as necr0phage said, there is a lot of symbolism. And as before, there are a ton of discussions coming up with how religion and philosophy tie into the movie. But overall, very great movie and totally happy with the Trilogy ![]() Instead of posting a disclaimer of spoilage and posting some additional thoughts on Revolutions, I'll wait a few more days and hopefully more pimps and hoes have seen it...and we can start discussing various parts ![]() | ||

| I'm kinda confused about the ending of it, as far as what Neo does with Smith. Someone PM me and explain it. That Oracle woman drives me nutty sometimes...I wish there was more fighting in it with Seraph and the gang. I think I like Matrix Reloaded the best. The Frenchman's wife is totally hot...man she had a great set of . . .um . . legs.. | ||

| well i have to dissagree, i thought that the movie was horrible. there lacked alot of continuity, and the relationship between neo and trinity was as thin as paper. the aspects of the matrix were not even a feature that was well thought out. and the limited amount of time spent in the matrix was limited at best. don't even get me started about the horrible job the new oricle did acting her part. or the explination as to why she was who she was. the end of the movie left a lot to be desired too. neo dies?! does he really die. if he is dead then why does he still see the machine city as he is being ferried away on the platform. if he was deaed wouldn't they just dispose of the body right there? food for thought. | ||

| Spoilers within! Edit: I don't know why I bother, it's already been spoiled.
You bring up a good point about the Neo/Trinity relationship. Especially when she dies... again. It feels a little cheap, since the last time she died she was brought back to life, and all our sorrow and empathy for Neo was turned into kind of a mockery of our lack of faith in his abilities. I have to agree about the Oracle, it's unfortunate that Gloria Foster (the original Oracle) passed away during filming. I think that's why they didn't lend much of an explanation to her new form. As for the ending... this is a great example of the heavy handed symbolism I was talking about. As Neo's body is ferried away, his arms are straight out to the sides - obviously a visual reminder of the crucifix, and Neo's Christ-like role throughout the series. What bothers me about the end is the final exchange between the Oracle and the Architect. A great summation is presented here: http://www.pvponline.com/rants.php3 I'll copy here for fun: Oracle: It's you. Architect: Yeah. It's me. Happy? Oracle: Sure. Architect: How long do you think peace will last between us and the humans. Oracle: I dunno. Architect: Well, either way. If they get uppity again, we'll just stomp them out of existance. Oracle: What about the humans that are still plugged into the Matrix. Architect: Meh. They can go home. Oracle: Really? Architect: Yeah. We're switching over to Hydroelectric power. The whole thing was just a big misunderstanding. Oracle: Sweet. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| ok, i have to get my rant out on the subject. had been reading bad reviews about it for days, everyone saying there was no plot or no story, blah blah blah... went to see the movie and it R0X0RZ !!!!! i have come to the conclusion that those who were bitching about the movie are probably the same people who dress up in startrek uniforms to go to work, spend every waking hour of thier lives trying to count exactly how many tribbles were in a specific scene, and probably also speak fluent klingon. oh yeah, they probably also still live in tiher parents basement as well while they eagerly await the next trekie gathering. everything that needed to be explained was done so in the first two movies, which were a build up to war with the machines. so, obviously, there didn't need to be a whole lot of story line or explanations. the third installment was all about war, and it was done perfectly if you ask me. | ||
