The hardest lesson I do my very best to teach my daughter is to be thankful for what you have, something is always better than nothing. A gift is just that. A gift. To be ungrateful for that gift is insulting. The gift can be taken away. Or even worse. The giver will disregard giving to that person ever again. It is a lesson that is hard to understand when you are 6. But a valuable one.

hell yeah duck.. my step-dad ground that into me too... but he used stupid ****, like ew ate what was put in front of us at dinner.. didn't matter if we didn't like it. if there was anything left we got nothing till breakfast. if there ws food on our plate at the end of the meal no dessert.. if we were hungry enough for dessert the we had enough room to have eaten more dinner... BS like that.. but it is a good lesson, just no the way he "taught" it...
