But my arguement from the other thread remains - why do you think a petition will change anything? Might as well start a petition telling India to start butchering cows to feed to their starving. Culturally they're going to look at it and think "Idiots" and chuck it.

I've got a problem here. I don't see why we need to exert our influence on another culture just because our beliefs don't match theirs. Save the Dolphins. How about save the caviar. How about save the cow. Save the damn Lobster.

Cultures base their way of life upon certain methods of fishing or hunting. Instead of ostracizing them, how about we just try to slowly educate them or show alternative methods. A petition means nothing to that fisherman who counts on a certain number of dead dolphins so that his family can afford enough rice and fish entrails to make it through the year.

These cultures go back thousands of years further than ours does, yet we are going to tell them that they are wrong? Go sign a petition and feel good about yourself for doing the same thing we did to our own Native Americans; suppress them. Go ahead and ensure that it is YOUR beliefs and YOUR values that you instill into them. Because of course, anything other than YOUR beliefs are wrong.

As long as they aren't endangered or anything, we are just sad about people killing 'cute' animals. There are poachers killing endangered animals that we should be more worried about. I've had shark before, wonder how dolphin tastes...

Ill sign this petition if someone starts a petition for lobsters. Why doesnt anyone complain about the way their sent to there untimely demise. Boiling water? Oh the humanity! While were at it what about fishing in general? Drug from your home by a large hook attached to your mouth, when will the blood bath end?! Your all tools.
