| Hey all. I am doing my english ISU assgn and I am really struggling with one part of it. I am to find a poem or short story that depicts the economic/political situation or the culture in China from the 1960's onward. It can be about immigration, east vs west type thing, whatever. Please, I am on my knees here; in the names of all things sacred please help me out. Thanks in advance. | ||

| You stumped me. I've ask my brother your question and he says a big writer for that subject would be Pearl S. Buck. She mostly wrote Novels but he's sure she wrote some short stories 2. But the time period may be a problem, though she wrote things into the 80's. Or you may find some related links by searching for her though. Hope I've helped :-) As for your new case. I have a CM Stacker. It's a great case and the price is way lower now :-) | ||

| Thanks for the help everyone. Found what I was looking for (sort of). I showed the teacher whatever poems I could find and made up crap about how it relates to the book and culture and it worked! Its funny because what I made up really made sense. That is why I always say that english is the art of bulls--tting. Thanks for the help everybody, really appreciate. | ||

Yeah, the BS extends further than that though. Look at words like phlegm. Not to mention that flammable and inflammable mean the same thing. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
