A good core T-Bred B or Barton will go to 2.3ghz, some realy good steppings have been able to get to 2.4-2.6ghz on the right
Mobo with volt mods. Also the memory and power supply need to be of very high quality.
I was hitting the wall at 2.4ghz on my XP2400, was not stable at all, I just replaced my generic 350 watt Power Supply with a good Antec 550 watt, and upgraded from generic PC2700 to some good Geil (PC4000 is overkill, PC3500 is all most AMD's can use)
Now I can hit 436FSB max(218x2), and have gotten 2.4
ghz to be stable, with a max of 2443ghz (too warm on air though at that speed, was touching on 60c!)
Have you tried 200x11.5 for 2.3ghz? my system seems to be more stable at 400fsb than just below or just above. It may give up a little on the memory bandwidth with that combo though.
