| Ok so I just got back online after a big crash, but I got online by installing a crapola usb wireless adapter since after the computer crashed... my ethernet stopped working... I'm about to get kind of upset here, did I toast my mobo? I noticed that my previous stable OC spots suddenly won't work, so for the time being I'm sticking to stock everything. I do know that my nvidia chipset on the mobo got way too hot due to lack of airflow and SLI cards, so I'm leaning towards a bad mobo. Unfortuantly asus is closed for the night, so I'll get going on the RMA tomorrow morning if you guys think that would be best. | ||

| I have infact reset my cmos a few times, I'm in the process of downloading the drivers for the nforce chipset, though what concerns me the most is my in-ability to reach stable overclocks that I had in the past. But thanks for the advice, I'm getting to work trying it out. Ok one way or another my chipset needs better cooling, so I pose a question: Is the Thermalright HR-05 better than the Jing Ting forcetake chipset cooler? Hard to say, I've never seen them reviewed head to head. Both would certainly do the trick. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Ok an update: I juped the gun since I'm in college and need a board so I went and bought an a8n-sli premium. Bad move it's DOA. I then did some testing on my original a8n-sli and found it was only the onboard NIC that was dead. I bought a usb NIC and badabing internet. I'm RMAing the premium first, since my first board still works enough for school/source. After I get the premium back I'll go about rmaing and selling the SLI. I also (for ****s and giggles) popped off the southbridge and northbrige heatsinks, cleaned and applied as5. decent drop in temps, clear signs of too much heat, the adhesive was melted, and the rubber insulator was warped (and shiny) | ||
