Default My O/C Trip

Im just learning how to o/c my AMD 64 3000+ Thanks To $Soild$ Nerco
The stock speed is 2009 mhz
Super Pi 1M was 45seconds
------------------------------------------------------------
Now with the volts up a little, DRAM multimlier at 9/10, LDT 3x I clock it at 2200
Super Pi 1M 42seconds, Still slow

Also temps are good I was folding when I took the Screenie for a load temp

Yay I got the 1M time down 1second when I turned off F@H

Also when I turn off F@H my temp Get really low :-)

Remeber, I'm still using the stock cooler

Cool its a good start. BTW most people use Celcius to measure CPU temperature.

Glad to finally see some results posted!

Few tips for ya:

Get the newer version of Super Pi..It is more accurate (Shows decimal places)
http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/index.php

Use Celsius instead of Farenhiet...I know it seams weird, but that is the standard everyone uses, otherwise it will confuse people...around 50c is the max you want to see in general.

Don't forget to grab some of the otherbenchies from the link below

http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/index.php

EDIT: Ha ha..see Planet said the same thing (Wasn't posted when I started the reply)

OK, Now I bumped the FSB to 230, And set the DRAM multiplier to 5/6, Got it to 2300mhz

The super Pi 1M is 40seconds, STill slow but I'm working on it

Edit/// Both links are for Super Pi

I got the new Super Pi and I change the temp to Celsius

Have you run OCCT or Prime 95 yet? (For at least 30 minutes)

The idle temps realy don't mean much...it's the load temps are the ones that count!

Some tips is change windows from the fancy XP theme to the Classic theme to pick up a second or two. Also make sure all programs arent running in the backround. Also if you change your backround to none you will pick up some time as well. What memory are you running as well?

What speed is the memory? DDR400? I believe you set the ram speed as 133. You might be able to run a higher divider like 140 or 150 if those options are available.

Cause I told him to use a big divider to max out his CPU speed first...

Lesson 1.

Max out the CPU first using a big memory divider.

Lesson 2.

Drop the multiplier and max out the FSB of the motherboard (Still using a big memory divider)

Lesson 3. Go back to 1 to 1 on the memory, Drop FSB back to stock Max out Ram.

Leson 4. Combine all of the above for you total Max Perf

You need DDR 400 RAM for that board. You should be able to get the most out of it that way. Nice choice of brandname tho.

DDR 400 is the "Official" spec, there are no boards that officially support the "Non-Jedec" spec of DDR 500.

Anyways killrt, I had that same exact ram in my DFI NF-3 LP, and it was awesome (There is better stuff today, but thats a good deal on a budget)

It would run 270-280 FSB at 2.5-3-3-8 to 3-4-4-8 with around 2.8-2.9v

The newer 939 boards support DDR500 in da bios it can even be set as a ram divider. Jeez waht a noob I keed I keed.
