| Apex Techie Wannabe | Ok here the deal. The only thing I have done is increased my FSB from133 to 149. Have not touched the Chip in any way, by default the XP 2200 is 1.8 GHz. Mine is now running at 2.010 GHz. I have pics of these stats at www.etcposse.com/overclock/index.htm these pics are from Sandra and WCpuid and IÂ’ll include both new and old pics what I want to know; am I really getting an overall better performance? IÂ’ve ran the Sandra burn in feature for 6.5 hours and all was fine. What do I need to do to see IÂ’m running better? I donÂ’t know what the numbers in Sandra mean. I guess I am asking is HELP!!! Lol oh yeah stats: MotherboardÂ….Asrock K7S8X (http://www.asrockamerica.com/Products/K7S8X.htm) RamÂ…..Kingston PC 2100 (2x256) Temp before overclocking 42 C Temp after overclocking 42C CPU voltage before 1.66V CPU voltage after 1.66V Anything else ask John | |

| yes..the extra 200mhz will help a bit. For better overclocking ablility, get a nforce2 board, like the new gigabyte, MSI, asus or abit. The SiS chipset board you got isnt the best performer, just a little bit ahead of the ALi chipsets. And my pc2100 hynix memory is able to run at 166, see if your memory can run at that, if its value ram, dunno if it will. You will see better performance with faster memory, especially in dual channel mode on a nforce2 board. And is that an idle temp or load temp? Stock HSF? If you wanna overclock more, the thermalright SLK-800 with a decent 80mm fan is the best(Or a 70mm TMD fan) And which numbers are confusing you? | ||

| My cooling only costs around $600 and doesn't require the other crap. Go to www.vapochill.com. I've said this before....Over the many years I have spent mega bucks on air and watercooling. I would have been better off going this route from the beginning. | ||
