Default Reached 400mhz FSB

EDIT: i had posted this in my old thread about the Athlon XP @ 2.1 blah blah blah, but i wanted to just be a thread wh0re and start one just for this, so please excuse my progress

took some time, patience, and traial and error, but i nearly died when the computer posted at 400mhz fsb, and i couldnt believe i made it into windows...now here it is, about two days later, no crashes, no errors, nothing wrong at all, am i lucky or what?

Fu3lman, I demand that you host a game server so I can see your CPU speed and watch you play without crashing!
Just kidding but if your up for some UT2k3 or something

what kind of stability is there at that FSB or was this just a "Lets see how fast we can go........to hell with stability"?

it couldnt be more stable, its insane, its like i got it to that magical number that everything is supposed to work at, because if i drop anything down even a megahert LOWER, it wont boot

and why is my memory at 166 when it was labeled 333? lol im a noob for this stuff i guess i actually except all of intel and other people bull.

intels fsb is a bs marketing ploy, and i used to know exactly why, but i forgot, btw i heard the 800mhz fsb (Canterwood) is also another play on the same BS that they are trying to shove down our throats, if thats the kind of performance 800mhz fsb gives, then GOD FORBID an AMD ever have one...intel wouldnt know what to do with its pants around its ankles...again....

and about your ram frequency, im pretty sure that is referring to 333, unless someone can provide a specimen that looks otherwise (my ram speed/timings dont show up in cpuZ so i dunno), but there is a good point within that little mess, your cpu fsb is theoretically so freakin huge, and your memory bandwidth is still relativaely small, and no where near synchronous, your cpu fsb....if it was legitimately that fast...would be like squashing a fly with a sledgehammer....

AMD lies too. they claim to double-pump the FSB.

Both companies are deceitful liars that want whats in your pants, no not your sexual organ, your wallet

The true speed of Fu3lman's FSB is 200MHz

Mot19, you and I are both running 133MHz FSB.

I could care less what FSB's are labeled as, I just know my computer is "fast", and thats good nuff` for me!

that may be so, but when was the last time AMD was on television newspaper, magazines, or anywhere telling these lies?

Fu3l, I am curious as to what ram sticks you have. I have 2*512MB Kingston PC2700 sticks.

I was able to get my 2600+ chip to 204 FSB with PC3200 memory, but stability was no problem, performance on the other hand was a little sluggish...

I noticed that when I went too far with my overclock on my 1800+ T-Bred "A". When I went to 1909MHz (166*11.5) I noticed that I was running slower than even stock speed, yet I was still stable; so I dropped back down to 1826MHz (166*11). Very good observation corrupt.

well, before, a typical 3dmark score would be in the 11,500 range, now i consistently get over 12,000 and the difference is notable, the loss of the cpu speed versus the extra ram speed/cpu bandwidth is negligible, everything from benchmarks to everyday use have shown a noticeable boost and i couldnt be happier at this point....and the ram is a 512mb stick of Kingston Value Ram PC-2100 CL=2.5...which now benches the same as PC-2700 in Sandra, so no complaints there either....
