AMD 1700 arrived today!

Well my 1700 arrived today from newegg. i didn't get the DL series I got the DU one

, but it was a gamble and @ $44 including shipping who can bitch about that?

now to the good stuff

I have it OC'ed @ 2.30 and running stable. I will leave it like this for about a week then try for the 2.4

not a bad OC for a $44 processor

Right now my temps are 38.5 deg C, but once i turn on the AC in the house they should come down 2-3 deg. It is pretty hot in my computer room right now.

I got mine today and am running at 2260 stable on air. $44 its a steal.

Nice O/C! At that price everyone should consider a 1700+...you can afford to loose it and it can hit over 2GHz and on an Athlon that's saying something

TekXoID: I am going to let it burn in for awhile then I am shooting for an OC of 2.5Ghz. IF not higher. And if I burn it up,

it will be still be worth the $40 to me. I think I will park the o'l 2800+ for awhile while daddy plays with his new toy.

yeh, nice oc dood, i can get mine up to around 2.3ghz but i start to notice weirdness in UT2K3 and 3DMark 2k1, so down i go, i think its an Nforce / Kingston Ram issue that no matter what i cant get around, oh well...im happy with what i got out of it (roughly 700mhz oc)

damn iu gota gets that and a SKL-900 or 800, I don't feel i have the cash to replace an entire system in case somthing happens with WC.

I can get mine to 2.3 but it crashes when I try to bench it. Looks like I will have to wait to I get my prometia before I really see what it can do. Buy the way SVC has the 1.5v-core in stock for 59+shipping . Those should be able to hit 2.4 on air because they run cooler.
