When OC'ing becomes an obsession.

I LOVE to overclock my computer. It's an addiction that, like the horsepower bug, can never be quenched nor cured.

I started with a crappy XP 2400+...it would crash whenever I changed ANYTHING. I gave up, and didn't try again until I had my A64 3200+...I got it to 2.42Ghz stable, but that wasn't enough!

I recently purchased my X2 3800+, along with a DFI Lanparty NF4-D, and then a Zalman 9500 HSF. I'm currently running 2.61 stable, but I still wanted more!!!

This was the result of wanting crazy air-cooled benchmarks:

Hey, you think to yourself, isn't Florida hot and sticky? It usually is, but not tonight! With a low of 49F, I felt it would be perfect for some low ambient temp OC's!

I would say it worked out pretty good:

The CPU temps @ 1.75v were even more suprising:

Of course, who cares about nice temps if their aren't nice results?

While I hoped for more (in 01 especially), air cooling can only go so far. We'll see what I can do tomorrow night in colder temps, when I can get to tweaking the setup!

Nice clockin bro. It sure is addicting aint it. If you ever try dry ice your gonna be hooked the first instant you fire up that mobo and the cpu is at -20C.
