Default Socket A hoe's

Hi, personally i am a Socket A believer and am proud to own a Overclocked Mobile/nf7 combo and i want to hear about your overclocked Socket a System so post your system specs up so ppl can see who really had the fastest, best socket A System On PR. (Requires CPUZ validation link)

Specs are as follow

AMD Athlon XP mobile 2500+ currently @ 2.3Ghz till i get my new Ram
Abit NF7-S v2
Generic 1gb of ram

haha I got a good laugh outa that 3.0 part. First off your ram doesnt limit your overclock. Second I doubt you could reach 3ghz on air. If Necro couldnt do it with his chilly temps I dont think you can.

I have:

DFI Lan Party NF2 Ultra Rev. B
Athlon XP2600 locked at 2.3 stable. It can do 2.4 for a short while.
Radeon 9700 Pro w/Zalman VF700 Cu
1gb Corsair XMS XL2225 w/Samsung TCCD
80gb Maxtor / 160gb WD
DVD-RW
Antec TruePower 430.

Old skool biatch

The Radeon has been overclocked once, to 365mhz, but it would get super hot. Would be real interesting to see what it could run on a VF700 Cu.

There are things called ram dividers. These brand new inventions just came out yesterday work like a charm.

nice system, the only thing i would change is that locked CPU you could prolly seel it and get a replacement mobile for about an even trade as far as money goes, and IMO you get more band for your buck when you go mobile.

Right now its just sitting in Some board. I know its a nforce 2 board, and Ive been in the bios (you can customize everything..., Vcore up to 2V or so) Some day I might try that board out and see how far I can get.

For the rig Im on now, I think its an Athlon 1.6Ghz (I bought it from newegg and it said its a 2200+ or so) Currently its running at 2.3Ghz
Mobo: Asus A7V600
Ram: Corsair PC3200 512MB 3-3-3-8
Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB -stock cooler..lol
Some Generic PSU (well I forgot what brand..) 350W

As for the cooler I am using Its a Thermaltake Volcano 12+ Extreme. Its Loud, and Gives Alot of Air. Today were my lowest Temps ever, 33C CPU 22C Mobo. No screen shot.

Voltage is at 1.696v

Zenn reached 2.9 because he just cranked up the voltage and multi. A few people have reached 3ghz on SocketA but that took some phase changes and some hardware mods and was very hard to achieve.
