okay well i filled the gaps with thermal paste, then i used a circut writer pen wich has conductive ink to bridge each gap.

nope, i never heard of it being used for unlocking, but i just might be talking out my ass. AS3 is silver based. i wouldn't know about what you used but i would try cleaning it out and using a crayon instead. wait for someone elses knowledge on this though, since i've never done it.

I used super glue gel, You want a more permanant filler. then you need to use the circut pen etc. You can take the CPU to the sink and wash out the thermal paste with soap and water. Pat it dry and let it sit for a couple of hours ala BA. It works. Then start over using superglue gel.

Check it under a magnifying glass. I'm guessing that either two bridges next to each other are connected or one of your unlocking lines isn't reaching both sides.

You can always get back to where you were by scraping down the center using a pin.

You can use acetone or mineral spirits to clean your cpu. It might even take off the circuit writer lines so you can start fresh. And yes you can put your cpu in the sink and wash it with a little soap and water. Just don't use any oil base cleaners on it.

I generally use mineral spirits and follow that with 99% pure rubbing alchohol. Simply because I have a lot of it on hand.

I used the conductive grease method, because you can easily clean it off and start over if you screw up. http://www.highspeedpc.com/XPUnlocki...structions.htm
But what you have should work fine.

The two things that really helped me were a good loop (magnifying glass on a stand) and a very sharp sewing needle to apply the conductive grease. Not a straight pin...a needle, it's much sharper.

I thought unlocking the L1 bridges just unlocked the 13- multies, so that they could be used to up the FSB? now I think that elusiv003's mobo didn't know what to do so it automatically set the multi to 11 because the cpu is no longer telling the mobo what it is..

elusiv003: what mobo do you have?

EDIT: On tbreds, isn't the L3 bridges for multipliers?

All you need on the T-breds is the number 5 on L3.

bad for overclocking and heat, that core was on its last legs, manufactured on the .15u process..the tbred's are on the .13u...

I could only get my old pal XP2000+(1.67ghz) up to 1.83ghz..it ran hot too...
