Well since you're a self declared noob I'll help you out by letting you swap what SD for my winnie. I was due for a downgrade anyway.

Being serious tho, I think you've had no response here so far because the info is already here in form of other threads, not to mention Necro's OC guide.

That CPU should run 2.6~2.8GHZ

You will need the following settings to get you in the ballpark:

FSB 260~280 with 10x multiplier (LDT 3)
FSB 230-250 with 11x Multiplier (LDT 4)
FSB 220-235 with 12x Multiplier (LDT 4) (Stock is 5)

CPU Voltage 1.4-1.5v
Chipset voltage 1.6-1.7v
LDT voltage 1.3-1.4v
Memory voltage 2.7-2.9v

Start at stock and increase initialy by 5MHZ increments, then as you reach close to the max, go in 2MHZ increments.

Keep load temps under 50c, test for stability with Folding or Pime 95

Got it to 2.7GHZ. FSB 225 with 12x Multiplier. Had to relax the timings a bit. This is sweet.

Awesome, what did you have to set the timings too (Forgot to mention them)

Now run the 1MB super pi and post a few screenshots
(CPUZ too!)

Necro, I set the timings at 2.5 3 3 6. Just attempted to go to 2.8GHZ. 280x10. Memory the same settings. Memory divider set at 166. Passed super pi, but failed prime after 3 minutes with this Fatal Error: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4. Any suggestions?

What are your temps?

When the CPU temps aproach 50c and you have a heavy OC going on, Prime 95 will show the slightest instablity, even though games and everything else will run fine.

You can try the 133 divider to eliminate ram from the picture.

Try placing the PC near an open window, or open the case and use a house fan to cool it..if it passes, that is the problem..turn down the OC for now till you get better cooling.

Max temp was 43c during Prime testing. I will try your suggestions when I get back home tomorrow night. Thanks for all your help.

If your only at 43c, then you have headroom for more CPU voltage, try a small bump (.25v) if the memory divider does not help

Necro...Just found out my wife ordered me 2 gigs of Corsair XMS DDR 500 (PC4000). So I'll wait till I receive it and start over with new settings. Thank you for your help and look forward to it again once I receive the new memory.
