| my old 3dmark 01 score was always just over 10,000 and now they are actually around 12,000 so heres a link to one of my good runs, and i know i can get over 12,000 with a little more video card overclocking... http://service.futuremark.com/servle...jectId=6476985 one more thing, to get this overclock, i had to bring the multiplier up to 12, and the vcore up to about 1.75, and the DIMM voltage to about 2.7, however, my ram is still running at stock speed but with all aggressive timings and no errors / issues / instability at all, can get it up to 333mhz without error with docile timings but that didnt yield the results i wanted, sooo....... anyway, someone from here said i wouldnt be able to get past 2ghz with a 300 watt psu, and i did, so id also like to give them Be0TcH status as of now... anyone else been as lucky or luckier than i have with this cpu? (i know higher overclocks are attainable but after ~178mhz system clock, windows hangs and reboots regardless of vcore or DIMM voltage / timings) | ||

| then you guys will love this, heres my cpu versus some very nice pentium 4 flavors and an Athlon xp-1800 since the 1700 wasnt in the comparison list (kinda ironic that i have to "settle" for what would normally be a better cpu then the one thats kickin its ass), none of which seem to do any damage... | ||

actually man, its more along the lines of 678mhz overclock and id say $43 for a cpu that can hold hands down the dragstrip with a ---->>> 2 . 8 gigahertz <<<--- pentium 4...there really isnt a whole lot to say here, do whatever you can to get your hands on one, good luck, and god speed... | |||||||||||||||||||||

| oh ya, thats the big thing, you are kinda taking a chance, if memory serves me correctly, all the "A" cores have been phased out and all that are left are the "B", i figure, take a chance on something like this, its worth it, i bought mine when it was $60, and when the A cores were notoriously common, and i still got a B, so your mileage may vary... and my temps top out at 44C under load, not too bad when considering the voltage / mult / fsb | ||
