Default AMD Athalon xp 2600+ normal temps?

I've tried looking up the normal and high end acceptable tamperatures for my cpu butI can't view the pages for some reason. If someone could find the highest acceptable factory reccomended temp. and normal reccomended temp. I would appreciate it. Thanks

They die at about 80-90c. I try not to run it above 50c.

Mine crashes at 60-66C. I presume its the protection thing in my mobo kicking in...

IIRC Amd has the max temp around 85C. I have a 2600 barton core and a 2600 mobile and I do my best to keep them under 50C at full load. I keep the motherboard shutdown temp in the bios set for 65C just so if things do start to get exedingly warm it will shut down before permenant damage is done.

You should measure your temps by Celcius man... noone else does it by Farenhiet.. so how will you ever really compare temps unless you convert it?
