Default What powersupply to use

This is mostly directed at you top amd Opty overclockers.
I now have my shiny new dfi lanparty, opteron 148 cabne, saphire x800 gto2, and Ocz 4000 vx ram.
How to make it sing?
Has anyone tried that Hiper 580 watter while under heavy overclockling loads?
Necro what power supply would you recommend?
Anyone else have real good luck with any other power supplies?

I dont wanna plug this thing in until im sure I have the right voltage to make this thing scream (lost my last mobo to an ultra x-connect power supply)

I've had good results with the OCZ Powerstream 520W. And if you've got the money there's always PC P&C.

Here's a good review you may also want to check out. Done in UK so some may not be available here:

What about this one?
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...item=301&num=1

It is the Enermax Liberty 620W (EL620AWT)

Or one of these;
http://www.silentpcreview.com/article247-page1.html

Which are the
Seasonic S12-500 & S12-600 Power Supplies..

All three of these are higly efficient... which means less heat & noise plus a lower power bill...

Using Antec NeoPower and OCZ Modstream. Both at 480. Silent enough and works fine. When buying always check for amps on the 12v rail, most cheap PSUs can have a wattage over 500 but work as a 300 due to low amps.

Yes, from what I've read it works well, just like all of the Powerstream line, but since you're in the same pricerange as a PC Power & Cooling 510 Deluxe at that point I don't see a reason to consider it.

I've been using an Antec NeoHE 550W power supply for about 3 weeks now. The voltages are extremely accurate, and it's driving a crapload of fans, lights, and overclocked X2, 2 hard drives, and other stuff with no problem. All of the voltage outputs are within .04v or the rated level. (example: my 12v rail is at 11.96v). It also doesn't dump ANY heat into my case, and is extremely silent (WAY quieter than my old Thermaltake 500W).

Oh yeah...it also has 3 12v rails.

I went with the OCZ Powerstream 520W for my opty 146 build. It's the best PSU I've ever used and I have no complaints other than price. But you get what you pay for, so...

Man Im really leaning towards the Pc power and cooling hype. Its teetering between that and the powerstream 600. I need to be bumped one way or the other. Come on NECRO tell me something good about this thing.

Funny thing is that a couple of years ago a $100 Antec case/psu was 'real money' to me. Then I just boght that OCZ for ~$130 and dropped it into the Antec... Thank doG for raises!
