I have a friend who has a xp 1800 and his temps are running at 49 Ã‚Â°C (120 Ã‚Â°F) for cpu --and 30 Ã‚Â°C (86 Ã‚Â°F) for mobo it that high or is it normal he is going to be installing a 9800 pro inwhich will generate more heat should he keep an eye on the temps help would be apprecated thank you

XPs run hot, especially with stock cooling. He could get a decent aftermarket cooler such as a Zalman and drop temps about 15-20c.

The motherboard temps are normal.

Yeah thats a lil warm if hes at stock speeds! Maybe reaplying some AS5 blowing out the fan if he hasnt cleaned it for a while might do the trick! I would think getting off the stock cooler and finding something cheap that will do the job beter..
