| Was concerned about this snippet I see at monarch on the opty 146 page: "NOTE: In order for Motherboard to POST with this CPU, the latest BIOS NEEDS to be installed." I'm gonna get that and a DFI SLI-DR board, but I don't have another 939 cpu laying around to install the latest bios. Has anyone gotten a hardware setup similar to this running right out of the box without updating? I'd hate to be stuck in a situation where I can't boot my new stuff up. Also, the retail version of the 146 sells for $190 and the OEM is going for $203. I thought OEM stuff was cheaper due to having a drastically lower warranty and no fan etc. Anyone got any ideas why this is? Thanks. | ||

| Most likely if you order the board off the egg it will come with the most current bios. I believe my Opteron worked with an older bios. If you do order the board and it doesnt post you can always contact DFI tech support and buy a whole new bios chip for like 5 bucks with the latest bios on it and pop that sucker in. | ||
